Because Atletico know that if they start to fight with Chealsea, they win minutes in their plan of loosing time. This is not the match for Costa fighting (maybe in Stamford Bridge)

Imo if Teams are tied after the second leg the decision should be based on the # of attempts rather than home or away goals
