Though even as an arsenal fan, i'm not sure the "real trophy" part is called for, FA cup isn't THAT much better than the Carling Cup. It's not like we won the League yet or something. But I guess that will happen next year, so it's all good :D

Why don't Turkish clubs buy talented 23 - 24 year olds with all the money they have? Instead they buy over the hill players like Van der Vaart and Drogba.

Unfortunately the Premier League era hasn't been kind to Tottenham. I saw this on a Spurs site the other day: London-based clubs with the most major trophies in 1991: 1. Arsenal 16 2. Tottenham Hotspur 15 3. West Ham 4 3. Chelsea 4 now 2014: 1. Arsenal 28 2. Chelsea 19 3. Tottenham Hotspur 17 4. West Ham 4 The next 23 years will probably be more of the same, starting with the disastrous appointment of Pochettino as manager within the next week or two. This will be followed by the sale of Lloris and Vertonghen in the last 2 days of the transfer window, with cheap replacements brought in as panic buys. It's a never-ending cycle.

Gala just started to do what you say. Famous names attract fans and they sell more jerseys. Thats why they're looking for old players. On other hand, For Besiktas, they are pretty poor right now, i wouldnt be surprised if they can't afford vdV :D On May 20 2014 03:45 city42 wrote: Unfortunately the Premier League era hasn't been kind to Tottenham. 2nd league team Bielefeld won 1-3 away in the first game. 3rd league team Darmstadt won away 1-3 today. During overtime a 200% penalty wasn't given for Darmstadt who where about as dominating as Bayern was against ManU and Bielefeld scored shortly after. 121st minute Darmstadt scores to make it 2-4. 124th minute Bielefeld goalie almost scores from a header.

Yaya Toure's agent claims Manchester City do not make player feel wanted & May Leave the Club! Yaya Toure's agent has reportedly told The Sun that the Ivory Coast midfielder may look to leave Premier League champions Manchester City this summer. Dimitry Seluk claims City have not made Toure feel valued and appreciated, especially on his 31st birthday last Tuesday which clashed with a party in Abu Dhabi to celebrate City's title triumph. Yaya is so upset he's thinking of leaving City, Seluk is quoted as saying by The Sun. There are a number of things that have happened that have left Yaya feeling bitterly upset. He must concentrate on the World Cup now."But City have treated him with disrespect and have really hurt him. Source So who can afford £250,000 a week for Yaya's services? ^_^ lol

I hope LVG will bring in people who actually have knowledge of the world wide transfer market instead of focusing on Britain only. Btw who is Jordy Clasie? Seems like LVG wants him. Pls no Cesc or Robben.
