Pretty impressive that 0.O Must be some sort of record for a friendly?
Makes you think about how much potential Australian football (non-Aussie rules) has... but Melbourne victory with one of the highest average attendances in the A-League having almost zero support at the MCG shows you how far they have got to go.
Very true i think they should use that game though as a bid for a World Cup, if there getting 95,000 to a friendly with the likes of Liverpool, they would sell seats easy for World Cup and hopefully as you put increase their own domestic league gates

It is so unprofessional and petty it is untrue and very immature. If it was any other club than Liverpool im also sure that they would of been going "crazy" and saying how unprofessional that club was.
What do you think they're smoking over there at Emirates?
I don't see any problem with it. I thought it was supposed to be tongue-in-cheek :x
Edit: Hahaha
Luis Suarez comes on for Liverpool against Melbourne. First touch and pass were lovely, looking every bit the Arsenal player. #LFC #AFC

difference is the melbourne teams don't play at the mcg at all, there's a rectangular stadium specific for their games
mcg is only used for internationals and special pre-season friendlies like this (there's a reason why it's a cricket ground - it's not like you'd play friendlies at lords or something)
I didn't mean the MCG was Victory's holy ground or something You would think with 40k membership (mostly from Melbourne) they would have more people at such a huge match being played in Melbourne? No?
Quite rightly so, I only know the name of one American Football team that plays in the British league here, because the quality of football is dire. I support the NE Patriots across the pond and I imagine there are many many soccer fans who support English teams over their own local team, given that the MLS is on a similar level to the Championship or League 1.
These sky sports pundits are so awful. They don't even know Thiago's release clause was triggered, which meant Barcelona couldn't keep Thiago if he wanted to leave.

barça really needs thiago silva or david luiz because mascherona is fkn terrible.
Not only him but Pique and Batra are more than capable of turning their brains off in games. Puyol is not getting younger and he's become quite injury prone of late. They seriously need to strengthen their backline if they want to win things next year.

I quite like him there. He's technical, industrious, and likes to get forward. He's a little old to be switching positions, but he has all the attributes to be a great midfielder.

As Telcontar explained, he has all the attributes Guardiola wants from a midfielder! But don't worry, he'll be back to right back in serious games. Rafinha just isn't good enough to be more than a backup at Bayern.
