I think Lewa is joining Bayern, but yeah he would be great for chelsea.

I've been a defender of AVB but playing the high line with the three stooges (Dawson, Capoue, and Naughton) in defense is a terrible tactical decision. You have to adapt to injuries and he's pigeonholing players into his system instead.

Gotta love AVB and his stubbornness thats his downside as a manager. It's one way or no way. No adaptations no going back on decisions.

Certainly not against one of the better attacking sides of the EPL. He is too stubborn.

Yeah i mean Liverpool like City and Arsenal great going forward but still have holes/weakness in their defensive line. Seems like AVB set this up wrong.
Oh wow sky sports you just fucked up. Gerrard Carragher and Souness in studio discussing game. 3 Liverpool players, 3 totally bias minus Souness i guess cuz he been like Liverpool shit for last 5 years xD but anyway, Carragher "That was Messi and Ronaldo like for Suarez first goal"
Err was it? I saw him get ball and do nice touch and finish. Ronaldo would of hit it first time into top corner and Messi would of skinned every player in the box before putting into empty net xD

lol only missing Alan Hansen for the bias to be complete xD

Btw Souness is quite famous in Turkey :d

Lol yeah Alan Hansen and bias complete xD Yeh i like Souness he learnt not to be idiot bias and actually speaks very well and knowledgeable about the game. Also said Chelsea were the closest to Barcelona like when we beat Hull :3

Spurs should have had a penalty I think.
edit: Can't argue about the red though. Paulinho had every intention of hitting Suarez there.

It will be very interesting to see what happens with AVB's job. He is still owed a lot of money and Levy won't want to pay two managers at once, but there will be pressure from the board.
The biggest question is: who replaces him? There are almost no good candidates out there at the moment. Laudrup won't leave Swansea while they're still in the Europa League. Also, who would take a Premier League job with zero transfer budget?

100 millions and not a single decent defender...
Liverpool has best team in years, though. Sterling, Henderson, Lucas, Sakho - all performing above expectations.

Sorry, did you miss the part where Vertonghen, Chiriches, Kaboul and Rose are all out injured?
And why do people continue to throw around that 100 million figure? They sold Bale, Dempsey, Huddlestone, Parker, and Caulker for approx. 108m, and used that money to buy new players. The new players are replacements, not additions. There is no sheikh or oligarch pumping money into the club, and no crazy debt.

Because you spent £100million. Doesn't matter if you bought in £100000million, you still bought £100million worth of talent. And have you got £100million worth of talent? No you clearly haven't its abysmal xD

Anyway AVB's stubbornness cost him his job. You have to work with what you have instead of blindly following a principle. I can't believe he didn't learn that from Mourinho. And yeah 100mil is still a very large investment, Everton are doing more with less.

The signings were lauded by every "expert" in September, and they all declared Spurs to be the winners of the transfer window. Then, when the team struggles, these highly rated players are suddenly a waste of money? They can't be blamed for horrific tactics. The talent is there but it's not being utilized properly. AVB has to pay the price for this train wreck.

No, we lost 7 and gained 7. Going through them one by one:
-Paulinho was played as an attacking midfielder today. AVB has no idea how to use him. -Soldado gets no service and was indeed overpriced for what he offers. This is the only poor signing in my view. -Lamela is mysteriously kept out of the team by Lennon who reached his peak 5 years ago and is incredibly limited. £26m for Lamela and he doesn't even get a chance to prove himself. -Capoue and Chadli have both been hurt for much of the season. -Chiriches has been excellent
As for Harry, a list of reasons off the top of my head:
1) He openly defied the chairman Daniel Levy on a number of occasions. The comment that really did him in was something along the lines of "If we don't sign Eden Hazard, we can't call ourselves a big club." This was in the middle of the collapse brought on by 2) and 3).
2) He publicly courted the England job in the middle of the season and stopped caring about his job, which led to a spectacular 10 point collapse to hand 3rd place to Arsenal.
3) He went to court on tax evasion charges during the season. Kevin Bond had to manage for a while because Harry was dumb enough to name his secret Monaco bank account after his dead dog.
4) Harry only reached the CL during the transition year when Liverpool were poor (this was when Rafa Benitez was sacked), and Man City hadn't yet spent half the world's GDP. AVB's team last season collected more points than Harry ever did, despite finishing 5th.
5) He never rotated the squad and never gave young players a chance. It's well-known now that Harry badly wanted to get rid of Bale (yet he takes credit for turning Bale into a star in his autobiography).
If you want a good example of Harry's handiwork, look at Portsmouth. He won the FA cup at the cost of bankrupting the club and sending them to the bottom of league two.
Putting everything else aside, does anyone have any thoughts on the next Tottenham manager? I can't think of any outstanding candidates.
