Or get some marinade and just put the chicken in a bag with it for ~30 min before baking. chicken is so ez and good But cooking in butter tastes SO MUCH BETTER than cooking in olive oil..... but truth. Chicken is super easy. the only concern might be overcooking, but if you get a meat thermometer (or just practice) that won't be a concern anymore.

For stuff like chicken thighs, I cook for 20, max 25 mins at 350, Idk, I think I just don't like dry meat like chicken breast. Never had a dish with chicken breast that I liked. I'm fine with thighs or drumsticks though.

Thawed I cook for closer to 35. Frozen I cook for about 40-45. A whole thawed chicken I bake for like 1 hour at 450F. For a whole chicken i basically do this http://allrecipes.com/recipe/stupid-simple-roast-chicken/detail.aspx

Anyway, what age did you guys start lifting at? And how did you get into power lifting/Oly lifting in the first place?

The lazy part is just affecting you doing it, not learning it ![]() I started serious lifting at 24... not that I'm powerlifting or doing oly but I wish I had started at least 5 years earlier but now I know ![]()

Started lifting "seriously" my freshman year in college with some guys in my dorm (typical bro split) but had no idea how to eat, so I still made no progress. Found TLHF a year later (19) and started lifting for real, never looked back.

Then I got it again and discovered TLHF where I think I heard about Leangains for the first time. Martin Berkhan was talking about compound lifts rather than cardio and bullshit boring ass splits. The washobard stomach thing has ended up somewhere in the peripheri, now I lift because I found something I enjoy.

The internet suggested squats, so I researched squats. Came from there to lifting in general and then just turned to my favorite place on the internet: TLHF.

At some point I stood on a scale, and it said I was 69kg. For a 187 cm dude. I decided to make a change. At first I went to the gym occasionally, doing whatever. After some time, I decided it would be good to get a program, so I got a random crappy HIT program from bodybuilding.com. After about 1½ months however, I discovered this place, and I started Starting strength, and boy am I glad that I did. I know that I no longer am the weak guy, in fact, as far as pure strength goes, I'm stronger than most. But not only that. Through weightlifting I eat clean, sleep better, have more energy overall, and my confidence goes up by a huge notch. It gives me something to look forward to and improve in every time. One hobby gives me a fix for a good life. It gave me the feeling that for the first time in a long time I'm doing something I really WANT, something that will take time, but what I ultimately wish to have. Now, I'm slowly nearing my goals. I've had some setbacks, but I wish to reach my goals within a few months. (Basically reaching intermediate level in weightlifting)

I was then in a car crash and had to stop rowing, I was honestly just driving too fast. I was leaving work and my girlfriend had text me saying to go to hers for sex, and I bombed it off a corner and through a fence, breaking some ribs. Since then I've been the safest driver ever, totally not worth it to get somewhere ~3 mins quicker. So I played a lot of SC2 during that time, and a few weeks later decided I'd do some weights during my recovery. I wanted to build some strength, and luckily I found TLHF and followed SS with rows instead of cleans. My lifts fucking flew up after not doing anything for ages. I got addicted to lifting weights, as well as having free time, so never properly went back to rowing. At the time I likened lifting to levelling in a game, except it's real, lasting and useful. I picked up rugby again, and with every increase in strength it had a noticeable effect on the field. EDIT: I don't know why I'm incapable of saying everything in one paragraph, I always WoT

I need some help with my Fitness program. I'm new to fitness and after doing some research I found the Starting Strength program. It's great, however, I feel I can do more after some rest. Right now I'm just kind of doing whatever I can find, but I'd like to have a balanced program that trains my whole body which I can do after the Starting Strength routine. My goals are to get stronger and to gain mass; seeing as how my bodyfat is around 8 percent I'm not looking to lose any weight whatsoever. The 8% is a guess, but I can see my abs quite clearly altough I have low muscle mass so I definitely have low BF. I'm planning on going to the gym every other day. So about 3/4 times a week. Right now I've been doing some dumbell exercises for my shoulders and biceps. Along with chin ups/pull ups and exercises for abs. But I've been kindoff just winging it and how no good idea what I'm doing and I just feel kind off lost after the SS program and can't track my progress well. Also, I get conflicting messages on how to do a squat from the trainers at the gym and from other sources on the internet. Frankly, I have no idea who and what to trust. I really want to perform the exercises perfectly because I don't want any injuries. The trainer at the gym told me to put my feet straight when doing a squat and not let the knees go over my feet when going down. Which is different from what I read on some other sources. Another thing is sleep. I now sleep is crucial. However, on the days I go to the gym I wake up 1/2 hours earlier altough the times I go to bed are the same. Why is this? Should I try and go to the gym earlier in the day? Another thing is that sometimes my heart seems to skip a beat during a workout or just randomly... It's very infrequent but it still worries me. I'm planning on going to a doctor. I hope I can continue to workout ![]() Quoting myself. I posted this to r/fitness, but maybe you guys have some good ideas?
