Such a joke attitude by ajax going into that game. Well, shit happens even moreso when you are overconfident. GGnore Steaua!
Though we strike at you from the shadows, do not think that we lack the courage to stand in the light.

Haha, that was a crazy match last night. Want to credit the Prague fans for their nice support, couldn't hear them in the 1st leg, but in the second leg they were excellent away fans, no trouble and loud voices.
Great striker by Hazard, was great. Torres was doing well imo, just very unlucky that game, guess his confidence will be gone now again but he did well, more games like that and it would come but he wont. He will disappear.

Two very open games. Both can go either way. It will be an interesting evening for sure. I'm gonna watch Dortmund I guess.
I'm shy and reserved, even on the internet.

Why do they have both games start at the same time? That's not very spectator friendly. They're gonna cut into each game's ratings too.

Why do they always play these games at the same time? The results don't have any bearing on each other like group stages and I'm sure the amount of people who would watch both games back to back would be greater ratings than putting them both on at the same time. They're both must watch games to me and I hate having to switch back and forth

Because thats the only way they can do it. The best times for Europeans to watch football is evening kick off as 9-5 jobs etc. Then you have 2hours until the game kick offs.

Plus scheduling is rather hard too. The only reason UEFA put games back time (in champs league) is if their playing in Russia and it becomes -100000 (lol exaggerating) at 20:45CET which is what UEFA run all it's games too.
You should be glad they changed it to just 2 games a night, the round of 16 as of 2 seasons ago was 4 games each night. But due to the Europa League becoming so big (in terms of teams in it, not popularity) it had to coincide it's round of 8 and semi final draws together which will take place at the end of the month.

I don't see why you can't start the Shakhtar-Dortmund game at 6:45/7PM UTC (7:45/8PM in Dortmund, same start time as it is now), and the Madrid-Man U game at 8:45/9PM UTC (8:45/9PM UTC).

You can't even use the "too late" excuse, because the first leg of Shakhtar-Dortmund in Ukraine started at 8:45PM local time.

This happens in the US as well, since it's about as big as the whole of Europe. The western teams always have later start times. The problem with that analogy though, is that most of the US population is in the eastern part of the country.

Think you mixed up your time zones somewhere, the Ukraine leg of the Dortmund game kicked off at 10:45pm Local Time. Which is the norm for that side of Europe like i said, as UEFA makes every game 20:45CET kick off, unless your playing in Russia during the winter and they let you kick off (local time) 20:30, which is like 18:30CET

Damn that guy´s luck

He has chronic bowel syndrome and it played up again so hes out again for the rest of the season. I think he'll be released when his contract is done. I'm surprised he's made it this long with United. I suppose its because hes Scottish and so is Fergie.

Playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world, every registered player is important. I see him as a liability now. It takes him a long time to get his fitness back, get into the swing of the game, then he has problems again and is out for a couple more months.

Well Smalling was played right back against Reading so i wouldn't be surprised if Rafael was to man mark Ronaldo and Smalling plays in the same place.

If Fletcher is released from his contract, which does seem very likely, he may want to consider retirement. With such a persistent problem to his health not many clubs would take the risk. Shame really.

Rafael is definitely possible. He certainly has the pace to keep up with Ronaldo not sure about any air challenges though
