TV really never showed a rep on the first possible penalty on Pedro, which looked quite clear to me.
Barça needs to strike more from outside the box ofc. It's kinda obvious at this point.
Dunno, handball was the only big fault by the ref (and by big I mean a huge blunder) but other calls could be justified. Overall nothing to blame on the ref, Barca really got outplayed.
Busquets got a yellow for being stepped on. I mean it's not a game changer but it hurts, because we would have gotten a chance and instead we weaken a defensive player (can't tackle safely for the rest of the game). Cannot be justified.
Piqué got a yellow before opening his mouth after the hand goal... Lame.
The refs behind the goals are so fucking useless lol. Everyone saw that hand but them.

I'm not even sure about that x) Recently Barcelona has shown a lot of psychological weaknesses in big games... Chelsea, Real, for last year, Real (3 games where they seemed to be scared), and tonight's game.
Anyway it's still the New Camp, an early goal and we're back in the game, but I see us conceding at least one goal, so we better not miss chances...
I don't think they should shoot more. Yes they're predictable but they don't win games because of surprise moves anyway. They win because of patience, precision and speed of execution. When they don't put enough intensity they can't breach defenses, but that's not just for Barcelona
True, against better opposition they haven't really looked their shining best. What's the cause tho? Not enough drive to win things?

I think they are only allowed to say if there is a goal or not lol. Never seen them make any big decisions.
Wow, justs seen the goals, great finishes by both. Unbelievable!
However if theres one team in this competition which can over turn that result....it is Barca. Didn't Milan go to Nou Camp with a 1 goal lead a year or so back in the champs and blew it? xD
If the handball is on about the 1st goal, in that build up. It clearly smacks Muntari right on the chin....They showed it in slow motion and zoomed in camera on Sky Sports (i just watched) showed him being hit square on the jaw by the deflection. The pundits, Hoddle;Redknapp;Gullit all said that they thought it was handball at start but after seeing the footage it clearly isn't. Then went on to QQ alba for his "awful, cowardly defending" of the shot
Yeah, I guess after winning everything you get tired of making the small efforts that made you the best... Also tactically speaking, when they're having troubles to control the ball they forget about the wings and just try to go through the center with Messi-Xavi-Iniesta. And when these guys aren't on their good day, well... game over.
This year it seemed like they corrected this flaw and were using the wings a lot more with Alba being a machine and Alves getting back in shape, but after seeing the last Clasico and tonight's game, I'm really disappointed. I was a huge fan of the real 4-3-3 with 3 strikers but it seems that Cesc is prefered to Villa or Alexis, which gives us more control but a lot less vertical depth.
It's the bad side of being really attached to a football philosophy... We wanted more control, now it becomes an obsession, just look at the Spanish team which plays without striker at all... but it works because they're ridiculously strong defensively compared to Barcelona.
second milan goal was amazing, where's the praise?
I think it's prolly 50 50ish even with this first leg tho. milan played great. but barcelona played literally the worst game I've seen of them for the past 5? years. normally when teams just try to defend, they still have to be really lucky to avoid conceding any goals vs barcelona, but this was just barcelona having a total off-night. 3-0 and 4-1 are both very possible results for the rematch.

Oh my, Barcelona fans crying about the refs, well that's new. Feel what every damn team felt over the years when they have played against you at the CL. And to cry about yellow cards like they are game changing, seriously dude? Busqeuets made a stupid, unnecessary and dangerous move at the ball, he did not got stepped on he only tried not to get a card by acting(like usual) like he is the one that got hurt. The card to Pique could have gone to anyone, me think that the ref done well there, I got tired of teams jumping on the ref at every whistle.

I'm just talking about football stuff, not crying. As I clearly said in my first line, Milan deserved to win.
I also bolded the parts where you clearly missread Not even gonna try and discuss anything else with you because it feels pointless.

I dont see why its so awe inspiringly surprising I dont really think they have been that sharp against good teams.
2-0 is a crazy good result though. 1 goal gg now.
Valencia had them pretty good, Atletico was giving them trouble before they lost their shit.
Real game was pretty evens aswell as much as they did control the game.
Them dominating games doesnt really merit any reason to win knockout football. Never did.
League positions are so misleading. United arent as good as their league form suggests either, nor is Bayern (ok maybe they are).
Milan are no mugs. I havent felt comfortable watching them play strong teams at all this year.
On top of that, he's clearly trying to jump out of the way and, were it not for the deflection off of the Barca player, would have been clear of the ball. It was one of the decisions that would be considered harsh either way it went really. Iniesta and Busquets seemed to have decent games, but Fabregas had a rough time of it.. and Messi wasn't having any kind of day either.
The 2nd goal was a pretty one though. We'll see if they can hold out in the 2nd leg.

Doesnt matter, players often tackle and try to win the ball, when they dont and illegal stuff happens. Its a foul. No two ways about that. Arm sticking out of your body and getting such a heavy advantage will usually be called. In certain instances it may not be. This one isnt one of them.
He didnt do it on purpose, but it does beg the question why he had his arms up, defender pulled em in, whats with the hallelujah ? It is after all still interpretive though so I wouldnt hammer the ref over it.

Come on don't act like it was predictable... What was predictable is that they were gonna have a hard time, not that they would seem like they don't want to play football! Give me one game where they did that? The games you cited, yeah they were against opponents that wanted to pressure them hard during the whole game but Barcelona wasn't playing in slow motion. The only game they were as bad as tonight was the 2nd leg of the Supercopa vs Real but that was only one half, and the second half they reacted and should have tied the game.
Yes it's surprising that in Champions League they show so little intensity, so little speed in the passes and have so many poor decision like the multiple Messi/Iniesta runs through the center of the field that led to a ball loss every time. The worst part is that in the first half Milan didn't try that hard to make it complicated, they defended in their area and didn't pressure that much. Barcelona just never was able to do anything because they played soooo slow... The second half is another story, Milan smelled blood and went for it like La Real Sociedad several weeks ago.
And yes it's surprising because when you are 12 points over the 2nd of the league and you have Sevilla + 2 Real games coming, you think they would put all their energy into the CL game...

You are educated in a different sort of football. In the rules I know, you only get a foul if you intentionally handle the ball. Not if a deflection 1 metre away makes the ball suddenly hit your hand in a split second timing.
I was really pleased for Milan, I love teams who just clog the middle up against Barcelona. Watching them put Pique in ST position just shows how hilariously one-dimensional they are when they can't break down the middle with their tiki taka.
I see no reason why Barcelona can't pull it out at home. I feel like they owned the first half quite cleanly (just lacking goals). Maybe I'm just a fan boy...
