like people losing their tempers for a second during a duel has to be accepted during a cl final, it's the most important game all year for every player and all life for many players. as long as we employ the flawed system of effectively no penalty or match ban for offenses, I don't want to see red cards for minor infractions during the heat of battle.
Yeah, I am actually glad the referee didn't give a red card to anyone, although Dante, Lewandowski and arguably Ribery deserved it.
Didn't look like red to me personally, not sure how to express it exactly in english but it looked more like Ribéry wanted to "release" himself and his triceps barely scraped Lewa, not like his elbow directly hit his face. Still an unnecssary move, same for Lewa's stomp on Boateng.
Great final, both teams played well. Also I'm glad that no red cards have been given out, too many good games have been ruined by unnecessary red cards. All these Bayern haters are ridiculous and going over the top. This team deserved the title more than any other team with being in the finals for the third time in four years,...so just deal with it!
Didn't watch the final because I was out but just watched the highlights and read this thread. Seemed to be an amazing game and yet again I'm soooo happy for Robben :D
I was kind of favouring Bayern because honestly they deserve, especially after last years' fiasco. I would've been ok with Dortmund winning it as well though, but I like this more :D. Robben with an assist and a goal, he's in great form.

He was at the very least consistent, I dont care how strictly a game is called for the most part as long as its consistent.

Hate to nitpick, but how is elbow in the face a "minor infraction"?
after the game, i read through all the posts in this thread. i read all the hate and mockery towards robben. then, in the 89th minute, he goes "in your fucking face, haters", just like here
oh, and the scene of the night ofc:
very deserved title for bayern as they have been the best team in europe all season long. they were only that tiny little bit better (and maybe luckier) tonight, but overall a worthy champion. but also gratz to borussia dortmund, they showed a fantastic performance tonight and were a damn tough nut to crack. but on the other hand... the bvb players were burning themselves with that crazy pressing during the first 25 minutes and in the end, bayern were clearly dominant. bayern also had more clear-cut chances overall. but ofc the game could have gone in a completely different direction if dortmund had scored an early goal.
weeeeee arrrree the chaaaaaaaaampions, oooooooollleeee!!!!!

cause it's hardly an elbow in the face. it's a "stop pulling me-push away with arm move" that ends up with his arm/elbow area kinda sorta connecting with his face. if you get elbowed to the face you're gonna be genuinely hurt, not just football-hurt. this wasn't much at all, and it was a direct retaliation to something that could have been a freekick.

shouldve been a yellow tho
then you push lower, not in that manner. agreed that the foul should've been called earlier, but i wouldn't call it a minor infraction :D

like liquid'drone wrote, i dont think it was serious enough to justify a red card. a yellow for sure, though. lewandowski's foul against boateng was way worse imho, because it was deliberate and outside of "the heat of battle".
As a Dortmund fan all I can say: Congrats Bayern, they deserved it. I don't want to talk about some possible cards etc., overall they were just a little better. Was a great final to watch, just with - for me - the wrong winner.
I was kinda rooting for Dortmund, but Bayern winning means we'll have a rematch of Bayern-Chelsea and Pep and Mou meeting again which kinda makes an interesting story. I'm just glad we had a really good finals, that's not the norm.
