celtic played a really really good game tho. like, I think 2-1 was actually a reasonably fair result - although barcelona definitely had the chances needed to score more, they were also lucky to finish with 11 players. prolly among the better games ever by any celtic side, honestly.

The draw would have been fair. They score on their only attempt and their 2nd goal is the fruit of Barcelona looking for the goal and giving up on the defending side... You can't call that a good game, you call that a good result, this game was terrible to watch, one team playing the other one waiting and then celebrating the victory like they won the world cup...
I know this is the only way to defeat Barcelona when you don't have a lot of star players but god this just brings awful games...

Or you have to learn to appreciate good defending and tactical discipline over 90 minutes combined with ruthless capitalizing on the enemies mistakes.

I'm as always glad Barcelona lost. The German teams did well overall. Let's hope this trend continues tomorrow in Euro League.

Oh I appreciate in a way, but football is also about entertaining and this is supposed to be the show between the best teams of Europe. To win like that against Barcelona you need to face them on their bad day, have a goalkeeper playing the game of his life, have luck (2 shots on the post) and be a killer on your few attempts. It worked today, it's nice for Celtic, their public is amazing and I always prefer to see this kind of team winning against my team than to see a multi millionaire team like Chelsea play this way.

You can't take away the fact that playing like Celtic is so much easier than to try and play with more creativity.

I thought celtic played great. they had good passing, they were attacking a lot, they ran incredible amounts, they did a stellar job defending and pressuring barcelona after losing the ball (which is one of the best qualities of barcelona anyway), and they converted their chances. barcelona got the little bit of referee help there was in the game. they just didn't play better than celtic today, and them losing was a fair result. I also think a draw wouldve been fair, maybe even fairer, but it just kinda seems like you had preferred celtic to just roll over and die over doing the best possible job with what they had.

I also really enjoyed watching the end game happiness

Come on, if having 3 shots in total in the game is attacking a lot, we're not talking about the same sport... They just took more risks in the last 30mn, meaning that instead of having 2 players involved in the counter attacks they had 3...

The new Chelsea is a good offensive but a terrible defensive one. Even though it's in total contrast with Mourinho's team, it seems that Chelsea's spirit to fight until the end isn't dead. The greats are greater when they face adversity.
