Even after the Gotze thing? ^_^ And yes the fact that it is England, and English fans don't exactly get along with German fans either doesn't help the situation xD Hooliganism isn't a major problem in Germany, and both BVB and Bayern fans are quite well-behaved.

Actually, it's not that surprising that German teams won against Spanish ones. Both Bayern and Borussia have totally different level of motivation, either losing every final in last season or having young, win-hungry rising team with great manager and insane support from the fans (48 hour camping in front of the stadium to get tickets, anyone?). They just wanted it more and Real + Barcelona have both bad luck of playing in league where the result is already settled plus they always have to do their absolute best only against each other, because the rest of La Liga is so sub-par. Add that to superior fitness of Germans and multiply by far more superior teamwork (no weak points whatsoever, whereas Bartra/Alba/Coentrao/Pepe failed hard that day) and there's the crushing result. Even Messi and Ronaldo can't do against that hard-working collectives as those. Fun fact about Lewandowski: top Polish outfit Legia had him once when he was 18-years old. They sold him to lower-league team Znicz for a fee of about 1200 Euros. Two years later, Lech Poznan paid Znicz around 350000 Euros to get his signature. Another two more years and Dortmund spent about 4500000 Euros. Now it's about... I have no idea how much, but heard that Legia's management still gets rashes and nervous blatters when asked about it.

Not to mention that Lewandowski almost signed for Blackburn Rovers in 2010. Imagine if that had happened lol If Chelsea win the Europa League, they will hold both the Champions League and Europa League trophies for 10 days :O

Icelandic volcano being the real king of 2010 transfer market. That was fate, I guess.
