Although both bayern and dortmund are really strong i dont think any other german team could compete internationally so all this talking about a domination of german football seems rather strange and delusional.

Yeah, but at least Dortmund's development was completely unforseeable. Their story is pretty incredible if you think about it. They had just recovered from financial problems, were a mid-tier team and had no stars back then. The only thing they had going for them were their amazing fans.

Then they bought Kagawa for 500.000€, Bender for free, Subotic for free, Błaszczykowski for 3.000.000€, Lewandowsi for 4.000.000€, somehow talked Bayern into selling them Hummels for 4.000.000€ (after he already showed how amazing he was) and from their youth came Sahin, Großkreutz and Götze.

Best transfer management EVER.

Sry, you are just wrong completly.

Kagawa was 350k, Bender was 1,5M and a RB, Subotic was ~4M and Lewy was 4.75M-

Did that from memory. All close enough except for Subotic, thought his contract ran out.

klopp brought him along from mainz iirc
but doesn't matter. the crazy part is that they managed to develop a world class team out of a bunch of mid-tier bundesliga players, 2 guys from poland nobody had ever heard of and some talents without any experience.

You guys forgot they got Piszczek, a left winger, for free from a team being relegated down. He is an unsung hero. He is the reason ronaldo was so quiet.

real paid more for kaka than dortmund paid for their starting 11

remember the old times when Ac Milan Kaka was considered the new brasilian genius or in general remember the times when they had Ronaldinho, Adriano and Robinho had a solid core for good future. Nowadays it's just like whos playing for brazil except for Neymar?

Robinho was never really considered solid core for good future...Maybe while he was in Santos but even then there were (wise) people who never believed in him.
Ronaldinho from the national team was never the Ronaldinho from clubs. I remember only one game, in 2002, when he dominated; and even then he got sent off on the 2nd half.
Adriano was good, unfortunately he can't keep his shit together so he ended up like this(fat and unable to find a team that wants him).

Nowadays we have Neymar(Who is useless until he Stops attention whoreing, goes to europe and learns how to play tactically), Oscar(Who is legit, but hasn't reached his peak IMO), Lucas Moura(who has improved a lot since he went to PSG). These are the main three up and coming players we have.
If I was the coach and the World cup was tomorrow, I would start with this 11:
Julio Cesar, David Luiz(Maybe Dante), Thiago Silva, Marcelo, Dani Alves(I really miss Maicon ), Ramires, Arouca(We don't have a great defensive midfielder, perhaps I would make Luiz play CDM and have Dante as a starter), Oscar, Lucas, Neymar, Fred.

Apart from 2 or maybe 3 players, this is the squad 99% of people I know agree is the best.
The problems are: Marcelo and Dani alves are both attacking players, it would be better if we had a defensive right back instead of Dani Alves; out of the four players of the offensive side, only one has world cup experience(Fred).
Also we tend to choke hard on importante matches, Neymar for example is shaping up to be another Ronaldinho, amazing at club level but only decent at the national team.

The thing that impresses me the most is the speed and cohesion in which the team changes to and from defense to offense. A new model to follow?

Bloody hell I missed the whole match Wow, a player scoring 4 goals against Real, whole world knows your name overnight.
Anyway, does Real have a chance in Madrid or what? I can see them scoring 3 goals more than I can see Barca scoring 4 but then again didn't watch.

I think Dortmund still has to be careful. 3-0 at home isnt impossible for Madrid.
But still an impressive result!

I feel like people are too quick to forget that Barca beat AC Milan 4-0 the other day and Real clearly is capable of a similar miracle.
Neither Bayern nor Dortmund are through, yet. The chances for seeing a german finals are high, but there's still two games to be played.

I'm really happy with the outcome, of course, and would looove to see a german final. BVB-Bayern games were amazing the last few years. I think Bayern is slightly stronger than Dortmund, but a single deciding game on neutral grounds can certainly go either way.

I think he's talking about how quickly the entire Dortmund (and Bayern) team get into defensive posture when they lose possession. German media has been all over the fact that strikers run into their own halves to assist in defense in german football nowadays.

Did you watch those two games? There is no effing way Barca can take a clean 4-0 victory over Bayern or Real to win 3-0, Bayern and Dortmund would, if anything, score at least once even if they lose. They are through.

Btw, if Barca and Real should get eliminated it will be interesting about who will receive the world football player award next year. In the past Messi/Ronaldo/iniesta were considered as the usual suspects. If Dortmund/Bayern win, new canidiates such as Thomas Müller, Schweinsteiger, Götze or Lewandowski might emerge.

We've all seen how Barca didn't play the way they are capable of and I don't think today's games were on par with Real's strongest showings this season, either.
It must be hard to motivate yourself to give your 100% when you've just 4-0ed or 4-1ed that same opponent. I would be very, veeery surprised If both Barca and Real didn't win on home turf. If either of them can make a miracle happen, I don't know, but they're not out yet. That's all I'm saying.
People get cocky and throw games they had in the bag all the time.

What a Pepe bad match. Horrible. Worst player in the team. Pepe used to be a great defender...
