Adebayor returns to SpursTottenham Hotspur have announced the signing of Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor.Source That's good, we needed a striker desperately, not that Ade had the best season for us last season, especially towards the end of last season. I was much more excited about the prospect of Dzeko though, I am guessing now that Ade has gone through that deal is out of the picture. Hopefully we can buy another attacking player if Modric leaves before the window ends, which looks more and more likely.

I'm glad it wasn't Baines, as Evra is still a good starter who just needs a competent backup, and the team still needs some sort of ball-winning physical midfielder.
Is Fletcher still a possibility to return to the squad? I can't remember the last time I've seen him play, but he was always excellent as a ball-winner IMO.

Tottenham really do need a striker...Almost any Half Decent Striker would suit them better than Defoe right now

He played in a preseason testimonial and I think played in a friendly for Scotland (?).
The club confirmed in December that he has ulcerative colitis, which is incurable. I don't think he will ever be fit enough to play EPL football again... a positive outcome here looks more like him having decent health than regaining top-class athletic prowess

Nobody watching any CL-qualifiers? Borussia Mönchengladbach (ger) is up 1:0 against Dynamo Kiew (ukr). Pretty good game.
edit: sry for bad english edit2: 1:2 it is. shouldn't have jinxed it.

I am so unhappy Dominating the first 25 minutes, then two shots result in two goals against. Typical match progression for an unexperienced team. CL just once would be so sweet -.-

That's really sad news Had no idea it was that bad.

I'm really interested to see what striker Chelsea is going to bring in. Ade back in Tottenham...good news for them...also makes Bale more valuable in fantasy. Going to provide more selection headaches lol.

Yeah it's an awful thing. One of my friends has that disease, things can be going well then without any notice take a real nose-dive. Life can be quite unfair...

Gunners close to Sahin dealSky Sports sources understand a deal has been agreed for Real Madrid midfielder Nuri Sahin to move to Arsenal. SourcePotters closing on HuddlestoneTom Huddlestone is at Stoke City to undergo a medical ahead of his proposed loan switch from Tottenham Hotspur. SourceQPR agree Carvalho dealSky Sports sources understand that Queens Park Rangers have agreed a deal in principle to sign Real Madrid defender Ricardo Carvalho on a season-long loan. Source
Gunners look to have won the race to bring in Sahin, which im quite suprised at really. Thought he and Liverpool would of stepped up their interests alot more. Good signing for Arsenal, i rate Sahin >>> over Song by a lot ^_^
QPR Signing Carvalho and Dawson by the looks of it,they might stop conceding now! Might have to start calling them Chelsea rejects back 4 as well >.< Carvalho and Bosingwa

I hope we sign a defensive mid as well, but I won't say no to Sahin.
Celtic winning away against Helsingborg isn't all that surprising. Swedish football have been down the shitter for years (only exception is the national team).
Also, Welbeck has signed a contract extension with Man United. Source.

I find it crazy that Man City still have to pay £95k of Adebayor's wages. Crazy, how are they getting a good deal from this

Yeah, I don't understand this either, was there some weird clause in his original man city contract or something?

They can't sell Adebayor without him agreeing to the sale. He earned 175k/w or sth at City and didn't want to take a paycut to join a new club. Either have him in the reserves for 175k/w or subsidize his wages at his new club.
Crazy but that's what you get for paying insane wages.
|
Guess it's only till his original contract with city would expire, I think that's how it usually works, had some deals recently in football manager like that and they usually have the contracts like they are in reality.
