Meanwhile, midfielder Marouane Fellaini has ruled out a move to Old Trafford by signing a new contract with Standard Liege. According to Roger Henrotay, the Belgian Under 21 star's agent, Fellaini snubbed a possible move to England because of his desire for first-team football. "United phoned us yet again urging Marouane not to sign for Standard," Henrotay told the News of The World. "But we did not obey them. "The lad is young and he will get better still, but only if he plays first-team football. "He'd have earned a lot more money had he gone to Old Trafford but he wouldn't have played." shame that with how shitty united's midfield looks right now how much they'd want him now hahaha

Apparently Martinez wants to leave and like every player in Spain he has a buy-out-clause in his contract. But Bilbao makes this as difficult as possible, pulling out all the dirty tricks they can. They are a fanatical bunch over there, but I always suspected as much given their nationalistic tendencies. doesn't help too that their best player llorente is leaving for juventus. must be frustrating having the cantona policy when all your talented players are forced to leave to expand their horizons.

Brian Laudrup for manager of the season already xD Cassano-Pazzini Swap Deal Agreed Milan rivals AC and Inter have agreed a deal which will see Italy international colleagues Antonio Cassano and Giampaolo Pazzini trade places. Source

That sucked for them just as hard ofc, till Peinaar came back anyway. Anyone know if theres any truth to this ? I fucking hate how we 1 - Pass it around pointlessly without any penetration 2 - Slide it wide to the wingers when we realize the Whole Defence has come back while we were passing it around pointlessly 3 - Lump the ball in the box hoping Rooney and Kagawa can take off Headers against Everton's Defence (Like that's ever gonna happen) Still 37 games to go , Kagawa looks a class above...Rooney needs to be benched and told that he needs to get back in shape before the season starts and not 6 games into the Season..Full Credit To Everton and Fellaini too.. Fulham next.

Buttner signs for Man United. Also City closing in on Sinclair, and Adebayor finally appears close to signing on for a permanent move to Spurs. And Swans signing of Ki will be sick.

Yes, definitely. Set up team mate for a certain goal which they somehow managed to fail at scoring, was good in possession and showed good positioning. For 12 million, Kagawa's a hilarious steal, probably the best value player brought in over 10 mill this season.

To say he is under cooked is an understatement ![]() He should of started imo just for the match fitness.

De Gea also played well... beyond that, um, maybe Evra and Vidic? Carrick, Cleverley, Nani, Rooney, Scholes, and Valencia all looked poor. Welbeck still has to work on finishing/confidence, but that's less of a concern as RVP will be starting in his place most games. We need to get some CBs back (Evans might return this weekend?) and an athletic, physical midfielder. I like the tactical idea, although in that system Nani might do better playing a bit less wide and Scholes+Cleverley is a very weak defensive pairing. http://www.zonalmarking.net/2012/08/21/ferguson-showcases-a-4-2-1-3-against-everton/

When Rooney and RVP are floating to the edges of the box and the flanks to literally take passes of their wingers and then put balls in to.. well no one, then you've got a serious problem. Thats why kids like Hernandez are so much more useful for United the way they play their kick it to the wingers and put crosses in method. Its not just about being big and strong and all (talthough it helps). All PL teams have defenders that can handle that. Uhh correction, most PL teams.. Instinctively getting into positions is so much more valuable. The reason RVP should be fine is because thats not the ONLY way United know how to play. They are a pretty good team playing the ball around aswell despite their garbage central midfield. But he was the wrong man for the situation yesterday. No amount of match fitness would have changed that. Well unless you expect like some stunner from outside the box or a significant improvement from United's flanks.

Yeah he's a cover player for now. With Fabio on loan and with how poor the developing LBs looked in the preseason, somebody needed to be brought in. I'm glad it wasn't Baines, as Evra is still a good starter who just needs a competent backup, and the team still needs some sort of ball-winning physical midfielder.

Indeed also why when many people heard his signing where thinking RVP would be playing with another striker maybe and dropping Rooney behind them both with Kagawa alongside him or something. It's going to be hard to fit rooney and rvp into a team as they both like to pick the ball up and run with it basically. The reason Barca only have 1 Striker is due to the same reason? Adebayor returns to Spurs Tottenham Hotspur have announced the signing of Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor. Source
