A disgusting player gets treated by the press in a disgusting manner. No surprises there. In this day and age, everyone is living under a microscope. No one doubts his footballing talent for one second. But when you are a serial repeat offender, don't expect third and fourth chances.

As a Liverpool fan I won't miss him that much. He's a godly player but 40-50mil can get 2-3 top class players and have money left in the bank. Waste's far too many good oppertunities as well, and it's not like 'pool can't score without him, the 6-0 drumming of Newcastlewas a good demonstration of that. Being a Liverpool supporter is far too stressful with him in the team, it just gives people a reason to mock when it's hard enough supporting a team that simply aren't as good as they used to be. I will always remember that last game he played for us though. Stupid handball, biting an opponent and scoring in the last few seconds to make it 2-2.
