My question is: Is that just for the Brazilians? Is it a FIFA-rule? Martinez plays for Bayern, it doesn't look like he has to go & Okazaki/Sakai for Stuttgart and they don't have to go either as it seems.
Edit: Funfact - Dante and Gustavo need to be in Brazil 1st of June but it seems ok for Neymar to do a fotoshoot in Barcelona the same day. What the actual fuck. I guess Neymar is far more important than some decent defenders. (This is just a rumor, but if true, then idk why Brazil can't wait for Dante/Gustavo to appear on monday) It's just the CBF being complete scumbags. Neymar gets special treatment because of sponsors (Nike)/money/media (Guys he can be better than Messi huehuehue). I'd say I can't wait for the Confederation's Cup and to see Brazil ass-whooped, but I'm not looking forward to the chaos it will bring to those who are more interested in work/school than "panem et circenses". You are wrong. If Dante and Gustavo play on the german cup final, they can't play on the confederations cup. FIFA requires the players to show up 14 days before oficial competitions. If you want to blame it on someone, blame it on FIFA who makes the rules. Neymar is doing his "photoshoot" after the game. He's already training with the national team. He will fly after the England friendly and then he'll be back on tuesday to train. Afaik this is wrong. FIFA compels clubs to make their players available 14 days before the match. This doesn't mean that the player has to show up somewhere only that the club isn't allowed to stand in the way of the player to show up. Brazil plays against Japan first, and afaik the japanese players of VfB Stuttgart will play the DFB-Pokal final AND the Confederations Cup without any problems. So yeah, it's just the CBF being dicks. I know the Confederations Cup is important for Brazil, but Dante and Gustavo starting training with the national team 2 days later should not impede their chances.

Damião has potential to play well, but lately has been just an average player.
Maybe because he plays for a shitty team + Show Spoiler +rival to the team I'm fan of .

He is a good player, but his decision making is sometimes strange, like shooting from pretty far from goal when there is a good passing option. I think that can be worked.
I follow him a lot because he play for awesome team + Show Spoiler +the team I'm fan of. Rival to Fabiano's team .

Do you really think that's strictly enforced? Do you really think they'd be banned from playing the Confederation's Cup had they showed up after 23:59 on Sunday? When both sides are reasonable and come to an agreement the player could just as well show up a day before competition starts and nothing would come of it. This is just the CBF being completely unreasonable and refusing to give an inch, but what else to expect from them, it's the CBF. A token rule is still a rule. Again, CBF is only enforcing something FIFA created. If you don't like it and think it's unfair, blame FIFA. CBF's not doing anything illegal(this time).

No ! Because, this is exactly why it is a dick move ! Instead of showing class like Japan or Spain who let their players play their final (Okazaki for VFB and Martinez for Bayern). CBF just says .. 'He... there is this stupid rule of FIFA, you guys have to be here on the 1st OR YOU WILL NEVER PLAY FOR BRAZIL again' ... - this is blackmailing !
even more ridiculous, they have this hypocrite morale and let Neymar do his photoshoot !! wtf ... he has to travel to Spain and back ??? dont tell me thats not straining your body.
But well ... this is how the world is... there will always be injustice and hypocrites. But surely Karma will come and get CBF ....

Brazil vs England friendly suspended because of public safety concerns. Not that the suspension will last more than a few hours, even though those safety issues do exist. A single magistrate won't be able to withstand the combined might of the three biggest powers in the country (in that order, Globo TV - CBF - Brazilian government) for long.

Is Kyriakos Papadopoulos as much of a beast in real life as he is on FM2013? :X

Re: News: Apparently David Villa has an offer from Arsenal on the table. And they are apparently close to signing Lyon's attacking midfielder Clement Grenier, but there haven't been any updates on that story in a few days.

I personally believe he is as good as any young CB across Europe right now. I think he needs a test in Champs League before he is deemed REALLY good though, but i would like to see him at Chelsea if we need a CB

He is hands down the best cb in the world in his age. Pandemona he played with schalke 2 years ago when they reached the semis, he was only 19 years old and he completely dominated inter, remember that 2-5 in milan in the quarters?
I follow him since his first appearance for olympiakos when he was 14 years old and that dude is just ridiculous. His passing and vision are also very good, so he can play dm as well. Trust me, whichever big team purchases him will be blessed, lol.

Ahh i thought he might of been a bit to young to play for them back then. Damn haha, madness. Hope Chelsea splash the cash on him then

Maybe he should stay at Schalke for one more year, he played only 10 games for them last season.
And for Suarez, let's just say it's unlikely that he'll find happiness in England

But didn't schalke again miss out on Europe? (2nd season in a row) Would be better to get him some more champs league experience? Plus Chelsea have 3 good CBs for example and he could learn his way into the team?

Schalke played in the Champions League this season, they have topped the group with Arsenal. They ended up in 4th place this season, so they have to go through the CL-qualifier next season.
But yeah, if someone is willing to pay 20M+ for him despite his injury, Schalke will have no problem letting him leave, they have 2 other strong CBs.
