no comment on the price though but that's more of a general thing - I'm just in no position to possibly evaluate how much money a club can afford to spend on a player and how much they expect to get in returns.
fabregas sucks on the wings, they already have a fantastic ACM in Kagawa, why would they waste 30mil on fabregas who clearly lost a lot of his ability/skills in barca
I agree they don't need him when they have Kagawa, but skills and abilities like the ones Fabregas possesess does not simply disappear. Class is permanent!

Both Kluivert and Torres would disagree =/
They didn't possess the smartness, guile and flair that Fabregas does though. He isn't about pace and power. I think he would be a great addition to almost any team in the world.
Edit: and Torres has had a major slump, but I still think he will become a great player again.
Abidal is going to leave Barca this summer as his contract wont be renewed. He still wanted to play for Barca but the Club hasn't offered him a new contract. He wants to continue for 2 more years somewhere else, after some final minutes in the Camp Nou. He implied that he is going back to Barca after his career as a player.
"I wanted to continue here, but the club saw it differently and I respect that. I leave now, but I will be back."

great addition to almost any team in the world except barca, bayern, real, etc?
what manutd needs isnt more offensive power which they had plenty of this season, its holding midfielders...

I already said in the string of posts that you quoted that I don't think its wise of Man Utd to spend money on an attacking midfielder, but I definately think he could do a very good job there.

My question is: Is that just for the Brazilians? Is it a FIFA-rule? Martinez plays for Bayern, it doesn't look like he has to go & Okazaki/Sakai for Stuttgart and they don't have to go either as it seems.
Edit: Funfact - Dante and Gustavo need to be in Brazil 1st of June but it seems ok for Neymar to do a fotoshoot in Barcelona the same day. What the actual fuck. I guess Neymar is far more important than some decent defenders. (This is just a rumor, but if true, then idk why Brazil can't wait for Dante/Gustavo to appear on monday)
It's just the CBF being complete scumbags. Neymar gets special treatment because of sponsors (Nike)/money/media (Guys he can be better than Messi huehuehue). I'd say I can't wait for the Confederation's Cup and to see Brazil ass-whooped, but I'm not looking forward to the chaos it will bring to those who are more interested in work/school than "panem et circenses".

You are wrong. If Dante and Gustavo play on the german cup final, they can't play on the confederations cup. FIFA requires the players to show up 14 days before oficial competitions. If you want to blame it on someone, blame it on FIFA who makes the rules. Neymar is doing his "photoshoot" after the game. He's already training with the national team. He will fly after the England friendly and then he'll be back on tuesday to train.

The ones that are to blame is the DFL and the UEFA.
They both made CL final Bundesliga and Pokalfinal that late. It´s a shedule problem.
At least i think it´s a bit questionable by the Brazilian coach and the CBF not beeing flexible enough to say "we don´t care about 2 days of practice for a basicly meaningless tournament, let these guys end their awesome season with another title".

Afaik this is wrong. FIFA compels clubs to make their players available 14 days before the match. This doesn't mean that the player has to show up somewhere only that the club isn't allowed to stand in the way of the player to show up.
FIFA definitively is to blame because they fucked up scheduling but nothing stopped CBF from allowing Dante and Gustavo to come one day later. For me FIFA made a mistake but it's just a deliberate dick move by CBF.
For the Brazillian national team this Confederations Cup is not meaningless.
Remember that we, as the hosts of WC, don't have any important games to play since we don't get to play the qualifiers. The team can't be tested only with friendly games and you know why.
Besides, the team is so fucking pitifully weak rightnow that we need everybody to be 100% for the games. Brazil has to build a team for the WC and the time is short, the team needs to learn how to play with each other.
Maybe CBF is afraid Dante could get hurt or something? I'm not sure, but the fact is that the timing is unfortunate.

If they don't play on the confederations cup they're not going to play on the world cup, because like fabiano said above, we had no qualifiers to test the players and find our right team.

That's just a token rule that only exists for cases of dispute such as this. Do you really think that's strictly enforced? Do you really think they'd be banned from playing the Confederation's Cup had they showed up after 23:59 on Sunday? When both sides are reasonable and come to an agreement the player could just as well show up a day before competition starts and nothing would come of it.
This is just the CBF being completely unreasonable and refusing to give an inch, but what else to expect from them, it's the CBF.
I know he isn't as big a name as Neymar, but can anyone from Brazil comment on how good Leandro Damiao is? It seems he might be coming to Europe but it's impossible to judge him fairly from a couple youtube videos.
