He looked to be regaining his form in the latter part of the season and he was excellent in the Euro champs. Some say he still sucks but Harry Redknapp himself selected him as his team captain in the Sky Sports fantasy thing so I think that's where people get a lot of their enthusiasm for the man from. I have him as my team captain but then again I'm a Chelsea fan

. So kind of double hoping there.

Torres has been threatening a return to form for quite a while now - he always flashes signs of major promise, but never fully gets there. I guess alot of people are expecting that Chelsea's new signings will help him out. Plus not having a striker who will compete for the striker position means that he essentially is a guaranteed starter with some guaranteed fantasy points. From a fantasy perspective, he might be brilliant, or struggle tremendously like he did last year. I'm don't think he'll fall between those two extremes though haha.

As a Chelsea fan though, I certainly hope he can perform, but I didn't put him on my fantasy team.

EDIT: Oh, and Chelsea having 'two games' for the first gameweek on the Premier League's fantasy game certainly boosted his selection for the first week.

Can't see him being much more than a sub, although he's a great young talent he is quite selfish and would clash with Torres more than support him imo.

I'm have no clue how much time Sturridge will get - Di Matteo didn't seem to favor him as much last season. That being said, Sturridge would have to play as the main striker whenever Torres is rested or injured given that there is no one else available. He probably will also get some time on the right wing since Chelsea really didn't sign anyone capable of playing on the right wing (pending a possible Victor Moses transfer). So he would share time with Ramires (and possibly Mata?) there.

If anyone is still able to, I really advise you to play the premier league fantasy players stock exchange. It's in many ways more enjoyable than normal fantasy leagues, or at least provides a totally different sort of fun. You buy stock in players you think are going to do well, if they score points in fantasy, those points are translated into a boost in the stock of the player. The guy who is top of the leaderboard bought 69 stock of Michu and 1 stock of 9 compulsory players (you have to buy 10). Whoever in the country is top of the league after each month wins an iPad :D. It seems to be all about selecting players who are going up against teams they will be able to perform against.

Bertrand playing left wing again. Interesting RDM really likes him there, I think just providing defensive support, being able to drop back to cover Ashley's runs. Would be quite a good pick for fantasy because he's cheap and he might be able to pick up points for assists or maybe even a cheeky goal.
