Either way, good move for Butland at this stage in his career. Much like Joe Hart moving from Shrewsburry to Manchester City.

). I haven't been able to watch more than roughly three or four full games this season (compared to watching every single one, almost religiously, throughout the period between 06-07/10-11), so I'm basically stuck reading summaries of the games (as well as the off-hand conversation with some fellow romanisti), which means I'm not that much more informed about his output than anyone else here at the moment. But I've pretty much only heard positive things about him recently. His statistics have not been very impressive, but stats mean shit when it comes to the type of player that he is. Every indication that I've read points towards him being in good form; working hard and pulling his weight.

Here come the trophies. I'm surprised that Brek Shea ended up joining Stoke; I thought they weren't going to sign him after the trial he did last week. Happy to see another American in the EPL, though.

Bunn makes a fool of himself as he gives away a penalty. But he saves it! Magnificent save to deny QPR the lead. Another crazy save from Cesar to save Snodgrass' exquisite finish. Still draw at 0-0 with 10 minutes to go of ordinary time. Absurd yellow given to Turner. Good free kick position for QPR, but Jenas shoots at Mackie, who was running across the box. It ends 0-0. Good game, with both teams getting big chances. QPR now four points below Reading, Aston Villa and Wigan, who have yet to play this round.

Begovic is phenomenal. Can't see him staying at Stoke for much longer. And Chelsea is 1-0 down after Gutierrez scores.
