Well yeah the gross standard of the league would definitely rise a fair bit, but I mean look at it from the perspective of those smaller clubs and their supporters who would get shafted. Its not happy times for everyone. Id rather watch that to. But its unfair to ignore the collateral.
Also fuck yeah.
Club football.

No stand-out fixtures at all in the Premier League today, kind of an underwhelming return to club football. Chelsea at QPR should have a good atmosphere but QPR haven't show much this season to suggest they're able to make a game of it.

Lol Fox Soccer reporting Anton wont shake hand with JT nor Ashley Cole lol, and rumours that some of the other QPR players wont shake JT hand and Cole's hand either :S

I love how quiet the Emirates was before that went in. I wish there was a good quality stream for Stoke vs Man City, looks like the most interesting game so far.
Goodness me, Southampton is awful.

Saints not having a good one?

Yea the team that stuck it to United are at fault for Arsenal playing well.
They've got it wrong tactically and Arsenal is feasting, letting them pass it around at that sort of pace isnt going to work for the Saints against that kind of quality.
Its a bad matchup. Sort of like how Blackpool got hammered aswell.

Wigan are looking very comfortable at OT. Not fun.

Another ? I dont remember any Japanese star shooting for a while now since WC. Not to the point where the world should sit up and take notice anyway.

O right, Kagawa. My bad. For some reason I thought he was around in WC.
Although to be frank, I'd like to see what all your Japan hype is about. It would be nice but getting an Ro8 WC isnt something abnormal for them going forward. Stepping it up a gear, is what they would want to concern themselves with.

They're missing tackles, making awful decisions with and without the ball, and basically losing every individual battle on the pitch. Tactics barely come into it, Arsenal look much, much better than Southampton in every aspect of the game.
Blackpool played a similar system to Arsenal, it makes sense that they'd lose when up against a team of much higher individual quality. This isn't the case at all with Southampton.
Oh and what's going on with Szczesny...

Yes and this is a direct result of matching up against a team that you'd like to play like but is better than you in every aspect.
Your making my point for me. Thats why it is a tactical fail. They cant play Arsenal offering them space to move it around and try to play with pace themselves.
Ref, Arsenals last 2 games. Im not saying they still wouldnt lose, Arsenal is playing really well, but trying to matchup against them at their game is clearly not going to work.
if they were as bad as they are looking right now they wouldnt have done aswell as they did.
its really just naivety because they've done pretty well playing their style last year and in the early weeks of the season. Call it system or tactics thats where the main fault is.
Things like bad decisions and missed tackles happen when players find themselves out of position and unable to figure out what to focus on. Atleast at this level. Its just a really bad team to play for them. Teams like Swansea will prob give them a hiding to (or if they have a bad day, take one.)
Also maybe you should watch the Blackpool game from last season and start comparing clips, The similarities to this game will prob slap you in the face immediately.

Well sorry for being ecstatic but 20 years ago Japan was a total nobody in football, probably at the same level as top>100 country and they have evolved so much in the recent years.
Especially since like every "expert" and non-expert in the world predicted (like 8-10 years ago?) Africa challenging South America and Europe in their dominance, but instead Asia is getting better so much while Africa is just stagnating.

Yea but they arent now. We arent talking about 20 years ago. We are talking about now and Japan are very very good. Just not as good as they might want to be. Who cares if it was 20 years ago or how quickly you improve. Once your at a level and youve shown you can raise it, you obviously have the tools to raise it even more.
Its that kind of thinking thats improved their setup in the first place.

Yes I agree with you. But what is your problem with me then? Am I not allowed to highlight a Japanese player each time he does something great?
