If you just differentiate physics, you have a derivative, which can easily be software engineering. | ||

I'm an embedded C/C++ developer and have some experience writing driver level stuff and tweaking OSes.. Somewhat comfortable at assembly level coding but don't have a lot of experience with *nix. Do have a lot of experience with VxWorks and usually try to stick with using POSIX.. Maybe I'll give it a shot :-) | ||

It's actually pretty true, or at least it has worked for me - graduated engineering physics a decade ago, followed up with a masters, and have scored a few awesome jobs since then with, more or less, that same argument. "No, I've never done it before, but I'm a physicist and an engineer - it's practically trivial" It works. Seriously. | ||
