One thing I have learned though is in this format not unlike MM2015, synergy is everything. You're extremely unlikely to win if you simply attempt to pick 'good stuff.'

I got super mana screwed/flooded/mulled to 5 or less in 4/6 games I think. It was just absolutely horrible. In one game I made a risky keep of 2 Forests and then proceeded to draw nothing but 10 of the 12 white cards I had in my deck and no Plains. I have never experienced it to that degree ever before and it was incredibly depressing. One thing I have learned though is in this format not unlike MM2015, synergy is everything. You're extremely unlikely to win if you simply attempt to pick 'good stuff.' Regarding risky keeps, my thought process was always "if I even think 'hmm I might want to mulligan', then mulligan". I usually keep this until I'm at 5 cards and then I'll wager whether I really want to go to 4 cards and if I can do anything with that.

That said, if I did have to pick a single holiday to last all year, Christmas would probably be it.

There aren't even that many blue flyers iirc, apart from that Eldrazi 1U 2/1 with ingest, and maybe the 3 or 4 drop that has poor stats (2/3?) and creates a scion. Rest starts being 5+ drops.

I ended up mulling a lot more often than I usually do over the course of that draft. Just so happened that every time I did my hands ended up worse. Mulled to 4 in one game and I didn't even have a playable 4 card hand.

Unless you're telling me Littlebigplanet is some huge success I'm not aware of I doubt Mario Maker will somehow be seen as some start of something amazing. Also wait, Mario maker locked away editing levels behind progression? That's the opposite of good idea. Or are we talking about the you can't post a level unless you can beat it thing? I think you're severely underestimating the weight of the IP. It's popularity will persist for longer than one more month, especially with people getting it for the holidays. Also you say it's only getting attention because it's of the IP, well duh, that's the whole point. I don't see how this is a negative though. It's given thousands of people access to tools to make their own Mario levels which is pretty rad and not something most people are going to turn to ROM hacking to achieve.

Damn. I might not have agreed with everything that TB has said in the past, but I appreciate what he's done for SC2 and eSports in general, and I enjoy his casting and Youtube videos. I wish him all the best.
