Marvel is a really beautiful game, it's just that there were too many glitches and tech discovered in recent years that made it into what it is - you kill of first touch and then have a series of mixups on the incoming character, and if he guesses wrong at least once then he's dead and the next character receives a series of mixups etc.

Basically, there's this thing called TAC - if you're doing a combo in the air, then you can do a Team Aerial Combo in one of 3 directions, up, down, or side. Now, if your opponent sees you're doing a TAC, then he gets a chance to react and guess which direction you chose. If he chooses correctly, then he breaks the combo and he's free. If he guesses wrong (or doesn't try to guess at all) then you change your character mid-combo and can continue with the character that just entered the screen. In early days this technique wasn't widely used because you usually didn't get enough additional damage for it to be worth risking that your opponent guesses correctly. However, something like 3 years ago people discovered a glitch which allows you to do an infinite combo off of the TAC with quite a lot of characters, most notably Dr. Doom. So now you can just get a character that doesn't do damage but is good at opening people up on your first slot, put Dr. Doom on the second slot and you're almost guaranteed to kill from first hit, and then you just do crazy unreactable mixups where the opponent has to guess multiple times.

Tl;dr Marvel was fun at early days but now that people got good at it it's no fun anymore.

If you go to teamliquid.net there's a teamspeak link in the bottom left. The channel we all hang out in is usually Little Sister Licks Ears. OR the Mafia channel

I don't play Sm4sh a lot, but one of my friends does. When Ryu came out he said he seemed pretty strong(aka borderline broken). Don't know how he actually fits into the meta.
