Speaking of parts, my brother gave me a 1070 for free
I kinda want to get new CPU/MOBO/RAM to go with it (current: 4690k, only 8GB DDR3 1866) but I think I'm going to wait until my birthday.
When I do, I'm definitely going Ryzen. No Threadripper memes, but the 1700X/1800X look pretty damn good for the types of things I want to do with my machine.

What are you trying to do that a 4690k can't handle?
May have been the 960 I had before, but photoshop/lightroom editing was sluggish, and as I learn more about video, the number of times I can use more cores increases.
I'm doing an Extra Life marathon this weekend and anyone who can come hang out on my stream would be super appreciated. Also (of course) anyone who wants to donate if they have the means would be VERY appreciated. I'll be trying to get through Ori and the Blind Forest then as much of Hollow Knight as I am able! (read: not much, I am bad).

12 Word pages in and I haven't finished that letter (and it's 5 AM). You guys have it easy when I only triple my expectations of length for a write-up. :f
The annoying part is that knowing me I'll only fall asleep in like one hour tho.

I finally picked that game up again and I really am continually blown away by it. I've finished two dungeons, but I keep discovering new stuff about it.

I'd finally finished it, and when I finish a game, I generally want to move to the next game in my ever-expanding backlog.
Not Breath of the Wild though. Jumped back in. Checked out a few more shrines. Saw that I'd only completed 36/84 sidequests and still had ~30 shrines (not to mention 820 Korok seeds, but to heck with that) remaining.

WANDERING AROUND IN THAT GAME IS SO GOOD.
After I put close to 200 hours in that game I stopped playing it for a month after finishing 3 DBs. As much as I wanted to keep playing I just couldn't make myself do it. I thought I had burned myself out. But then I realized DLC1 was a few months away and I told myself to just push through it so I could start over when it came out fresh. I finished the game and immediately wanted to play more. Turns out I just wasn't ready for the ride to be over.
Sometimes I'll pop it in, hop on Epona, and just let her autopath on roads and enjoy the scenery.
Drafts are annoying when people don't read signals >_< + Show Spoiler +
P1P1 Regisaur, sure I don't like dinos but I'm not that dumb. Speculate toward merfolk but I see G dinos and no U, no B very soon either. With 5-6 cards left in the packs I get a full R/G pack so at least the signals are very clear even though I don't like them. I passed some decent B and R early and there was some G late, but I expect to have cut dinos enough to be fine. Then the BR seat to my left drafts almost mono-R pack 2, and the UG seat to his left drafts almost mono-G. So I'm showered in stupidly high quality UB cards, some removal, etc. because they take everything. My pick 7 is literally a counterpick because my colours have dried (the 3 R drafters in the pod are me and my neighbours, that's how mono-R left seat was to give me nothing.)
12 playables in my pair in pack 1. Something like 18-19 after pack 2. Then several people switched colours so pack 3 is pretty much RW despite my right neighbour being in that pair (he must have had stupidly good cards to pass Pterodon Knights and Raptor Companion past the wheel). I P3P1'd Drover of the Mighty hoping to wheel the Raging Swordtooth, put it got cut P3P4 by an Abzan player playing Legion's Landing.
There are 4 of us in G (2 merfolk players, one is a returning player, the guy to my left who apparently forced it when somebody told him during the first couple picks that it's the strongest tribe, the other has a control plan with multiple Cancel, Waker of the Wilds and some big butts; the Abzan player who was pushed away from G by the forcing merfolk, and me) and aside from 2-3 Dryads noone has more than 1 or 2 green 3-drops. I only have 2x 3-drops total, and with the glut of 4~6 drops I have (3 5-drops, 4 6-drops in the pool) I quite regretted not taking New Horizons.
Then match 1 is against Esper (UB splashing Legion's Landing too and Legion's Judgement and some other stuff) who has Siren's Ruse and Dreamcaller Siren in the top 10 cards of his deck (and people somehow let him get 2x Cutlass) all 3 games so nothing I do matters, I win one game because he forgets to account for Ixalli's Keeper's sac ability. Also a mulligan into nothing before turn 4 and after seeing my Colossal Dreadmaws he's got Contract Killing on curve games 2 and 3. Even the game I won I never felt like I had much choice or plays to make.
I still go 2-1 but that's because people don't get their bombs (abzan has some colour issues and Otepec Huntmaster + tramplers, or 3 of my 6 pieces of removal in the first 6-7 turns never let him flip Adanto; then BR topdecks the 8th land for his Shrine Keeper to be lethal, loses to Regisaur Alpha letting him swing for lethal before his Mark of the Vampire swings too hard, then to "only playing a Conquistador in the first 3 turns giving me the time to play bigger dinos"; he never drew his Hostage Taker and I got lucky as he leaved through most of my top end in game 3, even getting a Dual Shot + Cutthroat combo to kill my only dino and the Drover).
Overall I didn't really have fun, aside from trying to save an instant speed removal in case of Hostage Taker or if he tried to equip a creature to make it fly, the biggest decisions I had were mathing out the best blocks if I went with everything to decide whether or not to keep something back. And the draft itself, a 2-packs draft was frustrating and annoying. I hate when that happens and people read the signals wrong or outright force and stomp over pack 2, punishing both of you.
We had snow! Well, melted snow late in the afternoon. Then enough to cover the cards but not the ground, so I had to remove it to go out—and scrap the ice away to get home. I wonder how it's going to be soon, been invited to something monday evening in a down I don't know at all half an hour from here, here's to hoping conditions won't be too bad on top of the night and unknown road.
