Like, that type of nostalgia where you already know what's going to happen but you're trying to forget so you can enjoy it the same way you did before. Maybe I'm just old Yeah especially when that feeling gets mixed with the terrible, dawning comprehension of just how bad this manga really was, and how you never noticed as a kid.
That happens to me a LOT.
Also, now that it's out of the way I can come out and indicate Halloween as my least favorite holiday of the year ^_^

That's why you give kids stuff like Asterix or The Smurfs!
|
wait asterix is considered smurfs level?

I had no idea Asterix existed until I went to France.

In the "you can give that to 6 y/o or so to read adventures, then re-read it once a teenager and an adult and see all the references and parodies put into it" sense, yeah. Asterix does it way more and more consistently, though.

In reality, it's why the best possible thing to give kids is Calvin and Hobbes, and it isn't even close.

I really hope you meant Peanuts.

Asterix is god tier, what is this heresy

Tbh I'd be pretty curious to see how the multiple puns are handled in other languages, because they loved doing them whenever a new people's name came up.

I've had it for a bit but have put off playing until I finish Majora's Mask. I'm so hype. Will be my first legit Mario game.

Really, I jest. I’m not actually knocking on how Gahlo grew up. But two decade plus of no Mario sounds grim imo.

Just means he's lucky enough to experience it for the first time. ^_^

As for Mario, I was SHIT at 2d platformers and didn't have the money to buy M64 as a kid. By the time Sunshine came out I was interested in other things game-wise. Only Mario game I had as a kid was Mario Bros on an Atari 5200 that I randomly had.
