I'll just say that anyone who reads this and has issues, just talk about it to someone. Doesn't matter if it's a stranger, your mom or a friend. Even when you see no way out, someone else might. It seems to be getting more common too. Mostly men. this is why I usually try to just be pleasant to people I've read a lot of stories about people who were on the brink, and someone was just nice to them, and it helped a lot. I might hate the general populace, but putting on a smile and opening a door for someone can go a long way.

And it will likely continue getting more common as long as people continue treating Depression as a mood swing instead of a psychological and medical condition that requires attention and actual help.

There's a lot of interplay between the two.

I assume cutting would fall under suicidal behavior? I know this is a fairly common thing for girls in their mid to late teens. Considering how vicious teenage girls are, this isn't really surprising at all.

It seems to be getting more common too. Mostly men. Men are staristically more prone to suicide in general. Teens to about late 20's are usually the most common. In other news 90% of my bio class did not know spiders were not insects, they are arachnids. (We took a quick general knowledge survey so the teacher could gauge us) These are all people who want to be nurses/vets. Me and like 2 others got it right.....and here i am, a business major. When we introduced ourselves I didn't have the heart to tell them my major because of this. ._.
