The only 2 things that creeped me out in RE4 were the regenerators/iron maidens, and the first time you see the invisible bugs. The bugs weren't even that scary in the end, but the atmosphere and music through that part were just so well done I got freaked out, and I was a big ole 18 year old then. Gosh, RE4 is 10 years old now.....

Yet another SC2 matchfixing scandal, with all the denial to go with it.
Truly the deadest of games.

I have a very beautiful friend Numy, but I haven't seen her in over a month, been busy with moving and setting up in her new apartment. Doesn't help that the reason we saw her more before that was that she'd suggest going to the bar so she could see the 'tender, now that they got together then broke up she doesn't have a reason to go there anymore. Well, on the plus side it means she's free! But you're a bit far, and she's not the talkative type at all. Interesting when she speaks but it's so damn hard to get her to, I don't even know that much about her hobbies. did you offer to help her move!?? ps do people say tender instead of bartender? I bet TJ Detweiler does Now that's a name I haven't heard in a long time. THANK YOU

Truly the deadest of games. holy shit, just caught up on this, damn.... glad i left daed game back when it was dying.

The bag in RE4 didn't creep any of you guys out? Seriously? Did you guys not look at it with the infrared scope?
The worse for me were the Regenerators hands down. The set up for them was so perfect too. I sort of get why people didn't like the Iron Maidens, but I found the Regenerators to be like five times worse. Probably because they tried to eat you.

First time I played F.E.A.R. was pretty scary. That game's 10 years old too.
That game was pretty good.

That game was pretty good. That game was pretty damn good. Though I wasn't a fan of how they did the horror bits of the game, which was the selling point, the gameplay just felt really solid overall.

There weren't a lot of things that scared me as a kid. Oh sure, as a little kid I was scared of the dark and what not, but nothing traumatic or specific. You know, read goosebumps or watch a scary movie and get freaked out, but nothing lasting or scarring.
Except one thing. The singular experience that brought me more terror than anything else as a child was watching Twister. We live in Illinois, right in the so-called Tornado Alley. And as a kid, every storm or siren filled me with such dread that I could basically not function while thinking about it.
I think the inevitability of it scared me more than anything. You know, in all the games and movies and stories, even if the bad guy or monster survives, usually people escape from it. It's always a thing to be overcome, which means it can be. But tornadoes are a force of nature, literally. It straight out terrified me that if one hit, there was naught I could do but hope it went away from me.
I still don't like tornado sirens.

I greatly appreciate the use of naught in your story.
|
Is naught becoming a thing.
And, tell me about the match fixing scandal. I like drama.
|
I love weather. Nothing like a torrential storm to remind you that Mother Nature doesn't give a fuck about anyone's problems.

as a kid, courage the cowardly dog scared me all the dang time
|
Courage the Cowardly Dog was amazing, but there were some episodes that really creeped me out too.
I remember one where there was a shadowed force that kept hanging outside of their house at night, and made the creepiest sounds ever.

me and mordek (i think?) recently reminisced about the scary purple monster from ghost writer giving us nightmares... now that shit was scary.

The most distinct memory I have of that show is a foot or toe talking like a mobster. Ya, y'see?
Good call coma, that thing freaked me out. Looking back now seems really silly but when that thing popped out of the spaghetti pot dang!

No actually, I never thought to, I just always thought the bag was a kid or something, which is creepy, but not Regenerator creepy, is it creepy?
