I assure you if you need to pawn a watch you won't be getting close to the actual value of the watch. Then again if you're needing to pawn an expensive timepiece I suppose any money you get would be good for you. God, I hope pocket watches don't come back. Don't want you shitters cramping my style.

You're pretty hipster if you wear it like that today. One of my friends in the military said it was pretty much mandatory to have a watch facing palmside pretty much 24/7.

you also don't have to jump through hoops if you just want to dual boot windows and switch to game. osx still makes you do some bullshit w/ bootcamp just to get windows working on their hardware Fuck Bootcamp, literally a piece of shit. old programmers still use emacs or VIM which run on everything imaginable. even then linus torvalds won't even use osx because it's easily the worst BSD branch available. hardware doesn't particularly matter to computer scientists because guess what? they never work with the hardware. it matters for people that are running servers or gaming, for both of those groups would never use apple products.
for people that want durable machines, thinkpads are still a very solid option and will outlast any apple product

Or I'm the worst computer scientist ever.
Or both. trying using gparted or a live cd + any of the linux partition utilities like fdisk/cfdisk etc to make your partition tables then just install that way

Or both. were you not just using another partition? I didnt notice a significant difference.
i should say i was booting one or the other. XP was best for dual boot.
i have to use vim all the time on the servers because they are bare bones.

For the military you don't want anything that reflects light/shines and is visible to someone else since it could give away your position, so yeah, a lot of military watches can be worn this way. It was also common to wear watches this way if you worked in an environment where you could scratch it, though watches these days are typically more durable than they were in the good ol' days and also look nicer, so dial facing out is by far more prevalent today.

Well I don't use Linux anymore so it don't matter too much. But I just remember pre 8 it was easy.

Okay, can ANYBODY recommend a decent pair of earbuds for working out that don't die after 6 months or am I asking the impossible?

You could just drop 15-20 each time on some JVC Marshmallows and not care when they die. Excellent cheap earbuds.

Sony mdr-ex55 earbuds are great. Sound quality is awesome, they fit and feel nice, also rarely if ever fall out.

I really wish inner ear buds weren't so popular, I fucking hate them

I guess I should just go disposable. I have some nice Bose ones for music listening and 3DS, but I need something for podcasts at the gym.
Also, I sweat a lot. T_T Hard life.
