Yeah when I was a kid I felt I needed to look up echidnas because Knuckles was cool. After that I realized none of it made any sense (why is a hedgehog fast anyway?) but at least it was still fun. And now they even bulked him up. I kinda want to see some echidna character lay an egg though. I'd find that acknowledgement of reality hilarious.

yeah its super easy to pick up at least seeming. its a little more on the GM using just the base rules, because you have to "make" every enemy and stuff, but there is like a walkthrough for doing so and its pretty simple. aand the world is built around the players bastion style so its less GM prep.

Never played DnD before (Closest I ever got was computer games with DnD systems like Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter Nights) but I always just assumed being a player is more fun than being a GM. All of the playing none of the work.

if the group is fun to talk to, then being a GM is rewarding. if you are playing with a group of people you don't like, it can suck, but i mean thats every game though.

I signed up for Alpha at the booth, so hopefully I get into that. But if not, the girl I was talking to said it's hopefully to be released this fall, so beta will be this summer probably. Overwatch looks great, but Gigantic is coming sooner and the payment model has already been determined (f2p with microtransactions for cosmetics).
