Maybe you're too focused on finding worth / completeness in the opinions and company of other people. When you are content with who you are, you're able to then enter into a meaningful relationship. Dependent people are not ready for a healthy relationship. Independent people might be, but it can be shallow as they rely on only themselves. Interdependent people will have healthy relationships. I understand the nerves and anxiety and frustration at shortcomings, I've been there. I'm also a few years ahead of you and looking back you realize you're just in the process of figuring yourself out. You fixate on the wrong things etc. Rejection and lost love are not going to make you less of a person. I wish I had more time to construct a post while at work but I'm just rambling things off. You'll be so much happier when you encounter a person who supplements and complements who you are than if you find someone you think will fill some void in you. I'd like to bump this from the bottom of the page cause it makes so much sense. I feel our generation grew up in a time of transition where when we were young it was important to be normal and accepted by other people's standards and as we have grown up there is all this be unique, do you, who cares if you like hentai, dicks, vaginas, books, working on cars, etc. Just being you is important. I think it makes sense for these reasons why you know you shouldn't care but for whatever reason you do. You're fighting with what you know to be true with what you were raised with. I think that's something everyone struggles with. Focusing on yourself is really important because if you don't feel confident/like yourself then why will other people? And I find that sometimes people see this in each other and they say well let's just go out and have a good time, that'll fix it. While I will never say having fun is bad, sometimes the answer can be to take a step back and really examine what it is about your life that's making you feel this way. But that's easier said than done. It's difficult and you really have to remove yourself from the world. I would suggest going off the grid for a while. Remove yourself from social media, cell phone, games and other distractions. Take some time to sit in silence and just think. People rarely just sit and think anymore. It's too boring. They end up on their phones, etc. I'm not saying you should go Henry David throw yourself out in the woods for months at a time, but take a few hours and just find a comfy place to chill, or go for a walk (but weather ewwww). There definitely seems to be something bothering you, but you can't get over it until you figure it out (or even more difficult, just admitting it). Be really honest with yourself. But don't hate. Don't be condescending. You're a beautiful awesome person and deserve the world, but it ain't gonna be handed to you on a silver platter! It's hard work to live and even harder to love living, but you can do it And as always we're always here to help our read a long venting post (I would suggest writing too. You'd be surprised what you will put down on paper once you get going), or just write it in your own privacy! I'm sure there are also many people here who would be more than happy to receive a PM, myself included, if you wanted it to be more private. Good luck owb positive thoughts breeds positive behavior!!

A girl "experimenting" with another girl is considered something that is done and talked about where as guys it's all repressed. Kind of makes me sad there's "male" movement trying to open up male sexuality and traditional views of what it means to be a man. At least no big one that I know of. Sexuality isn't black and white. Some people are 100% one way or 100% the other obviously but that doesn't mean everyone feels that way.
