You have a strange definition of "pole" @owb, if you're in pretty good physical fitness (can do all the basic lifts with a loaded bar and have good mobility) and want dem sick gainz for dat sick muscle then I'd recommend a 5/3/1 program instead of starting strength or stronglifts. It's a good way to transition from stagnant weight limits to really pushing your muscle fiber/neurology limits*. You don't have to do super programmatic 5/3/1 with all the math (I like the math because nerd brain numbers spreadsheets JRPG) and just have basic ranges that you add X lbx to as you move up. *Also a good way to injure yourself if you don't have the baselines fitness.

I have a lot of respect to anyone who has had to go through something like that. Obviously we would all wish something like that would be easy, but unfortunately we still live in a time where you have no idea what people's reactions (for the most part) will be and I think coming out would be hella scary. If anyone hasn't seen it, I do recommend it

Yeah i've been lifting for like a year now, with some off time admittedly, but I'm in pretty decent shape these days (more so than when we met in LA ha). 5/3/1 sounds interesting, main problem is I go to the gym alone so doing one max rep can be rough. Although I guess I could pull a random spotter.

I do everything that I can at the University so that when I make it home all I need to do is be an idiot (some of you might argue that I do this regardless) and pet fluffy four legged animals that live in my house.

My mom is seriously allergic to cats and my Dad has never been a dog person, so I've never had a pet (unless you count fish). Wish I can be rich enough to buy two homes. One where I can have a cat and another that my mom can actually visit ![]() Wait is your mom allergic to cats but not dogs? Because that would be interesting if that is the case. I've never heard of that before if that's true. Also I liked having fish. I don't have any fish anymore, but just watching fish in a fish tank puts you in this sort of trance. I think my favorite fish were goldfish, as they were easy to take care of but lived for like centuries. I think I had a goldfish almost as old as Wave once.
