Its funny that you make those comparisons since Divine Divinity was originally made to be halfway between Ultima VII and Diablo.

Its more like fallout 2 than it is like Diablo. Thats what i liken Divinity to, though i may be a little rosy when looking back at FO2, as i'm watching a playthrough and it does not stand up to time as well as i thought.

Hm, it's diabloesque in graphics but it's very much a d&d style game. You get to customise your character with the same kind of d&d stats (int, str, cha, perception) and the combat becomes turn based. It's very very similar to knights of the old republic games too in pretty much all aspects of the game. You get choices of dialogue and can kill everyone in the game if you choose to afaik.
It's also the bonus of being co-op and can be modded to 4 player. If you're around tomorrow I can boot it up with soniv and stream it for you to check out if you want.

FO/FO2 aren't bad if you get all the resolution/fan bug fix mods working.

The RPGs I use to measure all others is Arcanum and Plane Scape Torment. They give you good settings, lot of options on how to play, and don't ask you to be the iconic hero of prophecy unless you want to.
