it's not even the rng aspect to it that bugs me, it's the fact that all of their cards get so much more value than anything fucking else, and it really fucking sucks having a fairly fresh account trying to fucking grind some quests out, when like 9 out of every 10 opponent is fucking mech rushing the shit out of me with these pretty complete mech decks, meanwhile i'm trying to use these core cards trying to make half-assed midranged deck. I think yango hit the problem with hearthstone a while back when he said that you don't get anything for losing, so losing sucks super fucking hard, cuz there's no progression in losses. | ||

I think a big part of it is that mech cards actually have real synergy with one another while being on their own good. In classic you have a lot of just garbage cards that are only garbage because they're a specific type. Mechs don't have that downside. For example, silverback patriarch is a 1/4 taunt for 3, which is garbage, but it's entirely balanced around houndmaster being a turn 4 play making it a 3/6 which is basically a fen creeper. Mechs don't have this stigma. Like spider tank being a 3/4 is already good, yet it being a mech means you can play blastmage on turn 4 and get value off him in addition to it. Harvest has always been an amazing 3 drop, and now he's a mech too. It's not a huge powercreep, but it's still a powercreep. | ||

Actually, no! They said the 50th anniversary one from 2014 will still be sold in stores, but after this year it will all be done online. So supposedly the Hess trucks will still continue but it will be 100% online sales. Hess as a company still exists but they're going to only be doing exploration and refining rather than all 3 (exploration, refining, and retail). | ||
