I dunno, I've had bad experiences before, but I've also had good ones. I used to think that all large companies were boring drones where I'd just be chained to a cubicle, but every small company I've worked for has been horrible and run by selfish people who run it like a personal project based on their own thoughts and desires. I'm glad the place I'm going has been around for a while longer.

Personally, I'd ere on the side of having a stronger PSU - it allows you to upgrade without worrying too much about going over your limits (I have a 750w PSU).

This question is actually much harder to answer than you'd think... I had to dig up old posts on another forum to figure out how long I've been doing this and, given my large lapses in activity, I don't have a good feel for how much time I've spent. But I can give you a quick overview.

My plan at the time was more an extension of the game's lizardmen than a new race with different mythology. I continued work but then had a big lapse in activity followed by an accidental deletion of everything (OOPS). I picked it up again in August as the current, revamped concept. If I didn't have to draw sprites I probably could have released the mod in October. As it was figuring out how to sprite was a lot of work and so I procrastinated by playing video games. But I've been more focused lately and now I have a job starting in April so that's increased my pace a lot.
I guess, for perspective, the three sprites I posted yesterday each have one other pose. Combined with those poses and the base sprite all were based off of I think that was, roughly, 9-10 hours of work. But it doesn't count all the time I've spent staring at dinosaur illustrations, naked chickens, and chickens with plungers attached to their butts (for science).
