The problem i had while having a very similar philosophy Req is that Legendaries are almost mandatory for slower decks. There are a few that you don't really need like Priest or Freeze Mage but then you need quite a lot of epics. Druid is another that can get by without but needs lots of epics. It's a bit sad that Blizzard decided to design legendaries as the primary late game cards but I think you'll have a better time as you are actually spending money lol.

Arena is cancer.

Arena is super cancer but it's still by far the most efficient way to get packs/gold even if you're shitty beyond belief like me.

Crafting Dr. Boom may be the smartest choice as he's also the most likely to be changed so you'll get to play with him now then later after patch if it's no longer good you can just get back all the dust and craft something else.

Why do you think that?
Do you think he's OP?

I have like no dust tho lol. I've been crafting normal cards that I want, and I haven't done a big buy of packs to fish for dust.

This is kind of a mistake Req. If you play arena (which I know you don't like) or get any packs you'll come across commons/rares pretty quickly so you should be saving dust for the much harder to acquire cards, unless again you plan on spending $$.

I ain't touching arena. No thanks, not for me.

I've been buying packs with win/quest gold, but that's just not efficient if you want a specific card. Like, I wanted a second Knife Juggler for a zoo deck I was working on. Or I wanted a second Flame Cannon for my Control Mage. With quests and wins I can get a pack a day, maybe 2 or 3 if the win streaks are good or I get a quest that gives a lot of gold. That's not exactly a great chance to get exactly the card I want at the time.

Besides, I don't really care about getting the legendaries all that much. If I open one, great, if not, it still would take a pretty dumb long amount of time to save the dust if I don't do Arena (and even then, depends on win streaks and rewards etc)

Even without doing Arena it isn't *that* bad. You're going to periodically get duplicate Rares/Epics etc from packs, plus the odd gold card. Usually about every 20-30 packs you should get enough dust for a legendary unless they're your first packs ever.

That is slow, but it's better than blowing all your IP on T1 runes!

Edit: For the record I've kind of stopped doing Arena, not because I dislike it but because I'm spending that time playing WoD or playing with my new cat instead. Arena is just :time: and I'm happy getting my quests out of the way and moving on.

KT is a very good card, it's just not as ubiquitous ('add me to every deck') like Boom or Classic legs like Sylvanas/Rag or something. And as far as the Naxx legs go, Loatheb was a staple for a very long time (and still might be in some decks? I dunno).

My suggestion is to look into crafting a bunch of those legendaries that are used in a lot of different decks. Or buy a shit ton of packs or something.

Not sure about high level, but Loatheb is still really nice in zoo/rush decks because delaying board clear by even one turn can win games. It's still recommended a lot in guides.

It's the most gold-efficient, but it's less time-efficient because arena is linked in runs, whereas constructed you can just quit once you finish your quest. For example, if you get a Rogue quest, do it on arena run, then get a Druid quest the next day, you have to finish the arena run before you can start making any progress on the Druid quest (plus the possibility of not going 5-x to finish a dominance quest forcing you to start an entirely new arena run).

In my mind Arena is only better for earning cards if you play enough each day to finish runs and exhaust your quests, otherwise leaving half-finished arena runs around and being unable to finish quests on particular runs means you'd probably earn gold more effectively finishing quests in constructed.

More serious players won't find that to be a big deal, but for me every time I tried to get myself to play that much HS, I'd lose interest in the game fast. Any time I was playing HS to the point of 10+ matches a day, I'd get bored of the game in less than a week. It's a game I can only stay interested in if I'm playing casually.

You don't "play" HS. You just do it while browsing ,watching some stream, finding new fap material etc.

Yeah, I'm basically only playing it at the end of the day when I'm trying to get tired enough to fall asleep or when I'm procrastinating doing the dishes.

I dunno doing 1 full arena per day is pretty casual for me; I don't do them just for quests. If anything I find sometimes trying to get 5 rogue wins in constructed takes me a shit ton longer.

It's super weird interviewing internal people for our department, especially considering I've only been here 1.5 years.

Dude, I've conducted so many interviews here and I haven't even had a 1 year anniversary yet. Probably has something to do with our boss firing half of our developers and the other half quitting.

Ok, sure, but I work in a 200 person company lol, and interviewing internal people who have been at the company for several more years than I have.

It's not a bad thing, just...odd.

Fuckin Games Workshop. New Necron codex comes out next week (finally), and I was like "Oh yeah, let me get a special edition because they're my favorites!"

Regular edition - $50
Cryptek edition - $165

One hundred and fifteen fucking dollars more? What, is it gold lined and cures cancer? No, it comes with 6 metal objective markers (basically coins), laminated loose leaf cards of the formations inside (in case you're too damn lazy to open up the book), and a slipcover. That's about it.

Do you really think people are going to spend an extra $115 for 6 coins and copies of pages from the book? Holy crap. You have to be out yo damn mind.

Yeah, I've just kind of come to accept it though. A rulebook is a rulebook, I spent that much on the D&D 5e book as well. You need it to play, and I think $50 is about as high as I'd go for one.

Edit: besides, I really like the Necron fluff and the 40k stuff in general, I actually read every book I have, sometimes multiple times (especially if I'm looking for paint or story inspiration).

While in Arizona, we went to Dave & Buster's a couple times. Eventually we stumbled upon the Guitar Hero station. Holy fuck I did not realize how much time I had put into that game to get my fingers to move quickly. I could barely play Medium difficulty - made me real sad.

For like 6 years from Rock Band 1, every Friday/Saturday night consisted of me and 3 friends getting absolutely tanked and playing it for like 5-6 hours. And that's not counting the time starting to play Guitar Hero in high school, almost makes me think what I coulda done if I actually, you know, played a real instrument with all the time spent. >.>
