Remember Pindleskin/Meph runs in D2? Think that times 1000. I don't have many issues with running meph like 1231112 times. It was really fun actually because you could make the characters in d2 diverse enough that you didn't feel restricted. Even though I don't think it was fast, I used to do meph runs with my werewolf druid. Of course, frozen orb sorc mf runs were much much faster.

What team are you using? Thoughtsieze and Bob are boring. I enjoyed Pod, mostly because Melira is my Waifu. We'll see what the pro tour does, my honest pick to win now is probably Tarmo-Twin, or maybe just straight Splinter combo.

I despise most GBx decks. The only one I've liked is probably the GB Elf decks from Llorwyn Standard.

There have been a lot of tweaks to it and there's now several variations of it too such as using White for Restoration Angel and Green version with Tarmogoyfs which really change the way the deck plays, although the kill combo is present in both.

Does this end up with me, beaten up in a dark alley and missing my Fetch Lands? This ends with me Fetchless doesn't it? On January 20 2015 08:53 Alaric wrote: How frequent is splashing? I know there are a bunch of ways to get your lands (such as "lands" you discard when you tap them to search for a specific one then shuffle) and these particular cards with tutors and such, but isn't running 2-3 cards and like 4 lands for them in the whole deck unreliable even with that? In MtG, splashing colours really depends on the mana base available to you. In formats like Modern/Legacy/Vintage you have access to a lot of great cards that can smooth your mana for you. In particular are the Fetch Lands which let you get specific colours you need. Cards like these, as well as dual/tri lands (lands that produce multiple colours, often with some restriction attached to them) means that in these formats going multiple colours is very easy to do. The power of the cards is also very high which means there's a strong incentive to splash if it makes sense. (Most Modern and legacy decks have at least 2 colours for example, because the downside is really low but the upside is huge.)

Oh you did. I mean now all I have to do is shell out hundreds of dollars for cards I don't own and actually try to play real games with other nerds somewhere. Or I could just continue to draft and get a bunch of cards that remain mostly irrelevant and are only used in the draft itself.

I thought about writing a discertation about this, but mana base building is often one of the hardest things in Magic to do correctly. The Lands you are refering to are called "Fetch" lands because they do just that. Splashing is very much a thing, often in formats where you have access to more than 2 colors being 2 colors is just subpar unless you have very good reasons to be. Just recently I ran a "URw" deck, where I was solidly 2 colors (UR) and had 5 White producing sources for my 1 white card (Narset) maindeck, 4 of those lands were already producing U or R in addition to the white. Things like that aren't uncommon as it allows you to also tool sideboards for your "third" color.

If you like draft do that, if you want to go to PreTQ's and play and try and get to the top that way go for it.
