Hedonism4lyfe Do you know how hedonists in ancient Greece sought pleasure? By eliminating desires, which themselves they considered a kind of a pain. So you go live your ascetic life Jeff if you like hedonism so much. Epicureanism is the school of thought that focuses on seeking simple pleasures in order to maximize happiness. Hedonism was separate and less specific in how to attain pleasure.

Playing through FFX again, I stopped at the Calm Lands my first time through, and man this game gets fucking saaaaaaaaaaad after that part

There was a penny arcade comic that summed it up nicely for me. Something about being the dream of a dead civilizations dream of his monster dad or some shit lol
I mean I liked the game but the story was fairly meh at best.

I fucking love FFX and its story
EDIT: Wait why do i have 1k posts? They took all my posts from the subforum or something? Thats cool!

If you want an incredible, sad story, play Dark Souls :F

FFT's about politics above anything else for most of the story, but when you think about what it entails for a bunch of the characters then you get a pretty depressing story (in that life's shitty for them). In a similar manner, Valkyrie Profile is fairly dark just because of its premise (and the ambient music (read: when Sakuraba doesn't go crazy on his synth) and color palette create a great atmosphere to follow up on that).
I'm trying to wrap my head around how you can deal with a Tiny+Wisp combo in DotA 2 without trashing on everyone else and winning before 25 minutes. Is that like dealing with a Vayne (that is tankier than 6-items Mundo when you have no healing reduction), where you'd try to flank and snipe the Soraka/Lulu/dude with the Crucible/etc. while kiting Vayne then turn on her once the enemy supports (as in supportive champs, not the duo lane support) are dead?

Well the over arching story gets pretty confusing it's really the whole final aeon thing that got to me (that yuna sphere saying good bye to everyone ;-; )

VPP had that game won and threw.
Like, Spectre was literally uncontrollable and they did some unnecessarily risky things + a Roshan throw and lost the game.
The only part about Tiny Wisp that could be considered unmanageable is how quickly it breaks lanes if you throw the game against them, but thats true of a lot of heroes, lol.

Well Tiny is also incredibly fast so you have to have hard lockdown or be able to fight him head to head which is pretty hard for melee heroes to do. Also why you dodge me yesterday Yanger

I dunno in the midgame fights Tiny looked like he'd never die. It lead to a few throws when they won a fight, got greedy, and respawns/buybacks + TP/relocate made them lose, but I was surprised at how quickly he became so resilient. It looked like he'd never ever die when he had Wisp tethered to him on top of that, and Wisp himself looked hard to finish off (is he squishy from his base stats/itemisation?) because he runs so damn fast or tethers to another ally. VPP seemed to turn the fights around when they managed to avoid big RPs on them and move the fights from clutters to spread messes. In 2-3 fights in a row they managed to isolate Tiny, or force the supports to back off, then they'd kill all of them (starting with SD and Wisp) and finish with the Tiny who couldn't 1v5.
I guess I'm asking if you do that in general, because it seemed disheartening how they'd want to kill Tiny most of all to slow down his farm and get the big bounty on his head (think he was 5-0-6 at one point?), but even in the won fights they'd mostly kill the supports, and Tiny would go back to farm and be huge.
What makes Spectre strong if she can't spread the enemy team enough to trigger Desolate? Just the Haunt+Radiance damage on the supports that lets the rest of the team quickly eliminate squishies, while she's hard to kill by herself? Or is Dispersion powerful enough to let her beat other carries by having them suicide on her?

That's more or less how you fight Tiny, given his general lack of mobility or engaging power. If they kill Wisp, Tiny's ability to stay on people and kill them takes a big hit.

And that's fine because if Spectre is getting huge alongside him, its a non-issue. If Spectre gets to Radiance, she can fight a lot of strong carries from even a full item disadvantage.
The Spec Radiance really puts a stopper on Empire's aggression due to their reliance on double Blink.

Both, plus in very-lategame scenarios, she has the buyback advantage that only a few other heroes can achieve, while being a stronger carry than any of them.

haunt lets spectre get back into a fight with buyback, killing spectre once in a fight is doable, killing her twice is incredibly difficult, killing her three times if she has aegis is a nightmare.

League needs announcer packs.
That seems like such an obvious cash cow.

There are already custom/fan made announcer packs. I'm sure I've seen a couple of them, especially on reddit. There was Trick2g HD announcer pack.
