any ideas on how to make something like that work
The way we usually did it at world, is energies are always rainbow. Any stage 1 evolves from any basic, any stage 2 evolves from any stage 1. That way you always made the correct pick.
Also you could bring any 3 packs from any block. So it was hella funny to evolve a charizard x from a raichu.

I'm such a child and so lucky maybe we can fix the car for cheep after all. I don't know shit about cars but maybe its not so bad. It's not leaking and still runs fine without getting hot so I guess that means the radiator is okay despite being bent in a little. If i can bend out the rod holding the rad so that a new hood will work all I will need is the hood, lights, and grill. thats like <$500 bucks at the scrap yard? who cares if the bumper is scratched to shit :/ the only problem is finding time to go to the scrap yard and to my parents house without a car and while im working.
It's gonna be a rough couple weeks for other transportation too. Its over an hour bus ride from my place to work and if i leave work late i have to walk 40 min to the go station and its getting cold out. The girlfriend is traveling but maybe we can get a shuttle to the airport instead. I rented a car for the weekend so i can go to WCS heh what a stupid waste of money.I need to cut back on my daily overhead (lunch, smokes, pot, booze) so i can balance back into the green. Still lots of pressure for the fuck up of a sole bread winner in the household.
Sounds like exactly the same way my dad would react =P
Glad things are looking at least slightly more positive. The daily overhead is definitely something I've recognized myself, fortunately I'm way too cheap to get addicted to cigarettes lol (especially in New England, they cost a shit ton, which is a good thing).

I am talking about the true version of the game, not the card bastardization that was inflicted upon it by cruel men.

That's not draft, is it? That's random.
Something like making a limited random pokemon pool that 4+ people draw from, it would have to be a somewhat random pool but with good amount of pokemon from each tier and at least some type balance.
Something like with 8 players, you would get 40 pokemon from each tier, each player takes 8 pokemon, who draws what is hidden (you see what pokemon are avaliable only when it is your time to pick). Has to set a movepool for each pokemon before each match, BO3 matches, can swap pokemon after each game. Can change movepools between matches. Single elim tournament format.
Something like that
Can't think of anyone who could be arsed to do that much work though, myself included. lol

8 players. each "Pack" has 15 pokemon in it. 1 uber, 3 OU, 11 UU. Each player picks from each "Pack" passing to the left. After all 15 pokemon in each pack are selected, make a team of 6. Play round 1. Winners from round 1 draft again. Losers draft in their pool. Repeat until 1 person is undefeated.

Gotta just get up early enough to pack dem lunches. probably my biggest daily expense.

Glad to hear things worked out for you Coma. Parents are like that, disappointed with our shit but still there for us.

That sounds very good! :3
I don't think having an Uber in a pack is good though, some Ubers are waaay better than others (compare Salamence and Rayquaza, Kyogre and Darkrai in gen4). 4 OU and 11 UU/BL would probably be better, if there are enough UU/BL pokemon.

I think part of it is that growing up, our parents were our heroes or were always there if something went wrong, so we have that ideology that they always know what to do.
Truth is, they're only slightly less clueless than they were when they were in their early 20s, and they remember what it's like.

Get you to think about which NU's can actually accomplish something.
