So can't decide if I am an awful human being or not. I'm super jealous/salty over this guy's overnight streaming success*** but I figure he's doing a giveaway so I'll stick around. I win the giveaway. It's Rebirth. So my initial thought is to just hang onto it and do a stream giveaway of my own with it (though who knows if I'll ever reach another milestone lol) but I don't know if you can even be gifted a game you already own, so I tell the guy and he says he'll gift me something of $15 value. Any thoughts as to which game I should get and/or if could do the giveaway? *** + Show Spoiler [Mini-rant] + This is something I rant about to Soniv constantly and I've probably mentioned before. Obviously I wouldn't trade my life now for anything, but were I just a couple years younger/had a little less responsibility, I wonder where casting/streaming could have gotten me/us (even though Riot basically pulled the plug on all amateur casting). If I could have attempted to dedicate real time and create a streaming schedule that would have been awesome fun, though again it could be one of those 'grass is greener' things where streaming life looks way better than it is...? Not to mention it's probably pretty arrogant to assume I would be successful had I the time to be so. I dunno. I get real salty when I see these overnight successes, especially this guy who has his stream embedded into a friend's website that supposedly grabs him 2k viewers or so, but looking at that website there is no way in hell I can see that garnering that much traffic nightly. Probably shouldn't be a dick and should just be happy for him that he found a good way to get himself out there or something, but I guess I can't help it. It's so hypocritical of me too because there is nothing unique or more entertaining about my stream than anyone else's and yet in my mind I feel like I have more to offer/am better than they are. Ugh. Maybe I should have blogged this, except every time I go look at my last blog entry it makes me never want to blog again considering what happened to me not 3 days after writing that. I miss frudgey.

I miss frudgey. I think about your spoilered part a lot actually, probably not coincidental given our proximity in age. If I had streaming as an option(I loved games before football, and even juggled them with football as much as I could, and some of that studying stuff I guess), I wonder if I'd have taken the risk to go at it instead of doing the athletics thing. By the time the platform had really taken off I was no longer willing to risk it and stayed in my career path, I do have some respect for the streamers our age that took that risk though.

I tried to get into pro gaming at some point and I never got even close. It's just a harsh reality of massive competition. I think it's more interesting to talk about what if he did succeed? What would it look like, and what would it entail? Working in SoCal in NA LCS? Or perhaps casting LPL in China? Like a China version of MonteCristo? It would still pale in comparison to being an optometrist and being an awesome dad.

A twitch stream embedded on a website will start automatically afaik, while a youtube one won't necessarily, and that's what they did with the league client.

How could they forget the steak? One of my favorite things to do is to get carnitas breakfast burrito. Carnitas are so damned tasty

+ Show Spoiler + I really should attempt to be at least a little bit more regular with my stream maybe, I just find it kind of difficult/demoralizing on those nights where people are busy or don't feel like watching and I have only one or no people on. Not that I blame you guys or anything because I totally get it, it's just you guys are the core of my viewer base, and it's just harder for me to keep things up when there's nobody to interact with. Dunno if anyone has any advice on that one...
