Haters gonna hate.
Seriously I live 10 minutes from a Japanese restaurant that serves Okonomiyaki. 20 minutes from work, and 25 minutes from my grandparents. Minus the complete lack of seasons it's pretty good here.

I know I'm not going to go up and say anything to her because I'm always worried about coming off as a creep (I'm pretty mediocre at talking to strangers in a public setting). That wasn't a big deal, that's just how I am. Then, a guy from another table goes up and asks her to take a picture of him and his friends at their table. I see this and wonder if this is just a ploy for this guy to start talking to her. Sure enough, after she takes the picture he invites her and her friend to sit at their booth and they start talking. It's not even about the girl, for all I know we had nothing in common, but watching that random guy talk to this random girl and just utilize all the confidence I don't have was painful. I left pretty shortly after. Sucks not to have that confidence. I wish there was something I could tell you but in truth i probably simply gained any confidence I would have (if my wife and I were ever to divorce or somethibg) from dating her in the first place and earning from there if that makes any sense. Being in a relationship makes one realize how trivial some 'outside of relationship' problems can be and how easily solvable many (but not all) of them are. Good luck bro. I don't really call it pretending to care. It's more that you care enough about the person that you'll listen to the stuff they care about because it's important to them regardless of how boring you find it. Kind of like how you'll listen to your grandmother say the same thing 20 times because she's your grandmother. I know the first thing I'm going to miss when my grandmother passes on are the 45-minute conversations that basically amount to "I think you'd be really handsome if you just cut your hair". Yeah you just phrased it a hell of a lot nicer than I did

THIS IS NOT THE EMOTIONAL SUPPORT I WAS LOOKING FOR. tbf, you probably dodged a bullet not talking to a girl who's so easily fooled. plus i don't think i've ever heard of a relationship that ended well for anyone from meeting at a bar. short of a one night stand. Like I said, it wasn't really about the girl lol. Also Serial is pretty good. it is ALWAYS about the girl.
