Ah FMA has a few moments that reduce you to a mushy puddle of feeling. Anime seems to love doing that to you and I seem to love it. Must be a masochist.

Hughes is rough.
If it was Brotherhood I might have guessed the Armstrong - Sig Curtis team up, which brings tears of joy.

Oh my god Xizor we just mind melded.

This would be the perfect time to turn heel and drop a quote about screaming children making me want to shut them up.

It feels so weird hearing English out of Armstrong. Don't think I'll ever get used to dubs. Pity all the clips on youtube for FMA:B are in English.
|
FMA both so goooooooooooood.
(manga still the best tho)
|
I thought the dub for FMA:B was incredibly well done. Don't hate bro.
|
Isn't Nina in both? I read it first anyway.
|
She is but FMA:B pace is pretty fast compared to FMA so it doesn't hit as hard in the remake.

I didn't say it was bad, said I'd never get used to it. Sure it's pretty good for a dub.

The only thing that gets me misty in that show is mustang v lust.

Wow that picture is ugly. Makes you appreciate the manga's trait morre (when the author decides to try).
FMA had several pretty good scenes even after it deviated from the manga, namely the attack on (iirc) south HQ, when Izumi Curtis storms it and causes havoc to try and get Wrath back. You get a faraway shot of the windows and walls distorting at the fighting progresses in a wing of the building, with Edward and Sigur on a plateau looking at it and discussing her history. Sigur talking about how he tries but knows he won't be able to truly understand her (as a mother), that he feels sorry for it, and that despite wanting to help he knows sometimes he just can't (like there, he may be huge but he's just a grown man and has no place trying to invade a military building) and has to stay back and pray. The reversal of the tropes (Izumi being your slender, physically diminished woman while Sigur is the buff, 7' tall dude with the gruff look) and the dialogue was nice. Then you add Bratja as BGM on top of it.
