Well to be fair many of the other ones have really shallow reasons for being named as they are I'd argue prides reason is the best. Lust is cause she's a woman essentially, gluttony obvs, sloth because they randomly decided to give him a lazy temperament (despite him digging a tunnel nonstop for fucking years?!) Envy works pretty well actually, and greed basically is just 'I'm a greedy guy' when he isn't even remotely as such. It really just seems like the deadly sins as a theme was chosen half assedly cause it sounded cool because half the characters have very weak if any associations to their sin. | ||

Well they aren't meant to be the embodiment of the deadly sins. They meant to be his emotions in a way. He stripped himself of those feelings so he could become a more "perfect" being. It doesn't even seem like he managed to do that fully so them not being completely single minded makes sense. He created new beings from his cast out emotions. They seem able to grow and change with time as well as shown by Greed/Envy. Bradley is essentially a human hybrid too. When he goes full wrath mode it seems to me be does a very good job it's just most of the time his human side suppresses it. I feel you guys have a misunderstanding rather than the source being half assed. | ||

Sloth is actually pretty darn powerful (in a general sense: he's sturdy as hell, very strong physically, arguably faster than the others as his charge showed), but he can't be assed to use said power most of the time because he finds it "tiring" and as such doesn't put any effort. | ||
