Getting tired of people questioning yet Asmo? haha too much hype! As far as I'm concerned, everything is customizable. We can make new backgrounds, new class specializations, new whatever so long as its not broken as fuck. I'm drawing the line at new classes and races just because I want this to resemble D&D 5E in some ways... at least to start. I also reserve the right to nerf anything I think is bullshit, including stuff in the books themselves. Edit: And also re: picking players, I'm trying not to pick favorites since there are at least 8 people who want to play a 5 person game max. But if you were picking favorites, we all know who you'd pick.
I mean, come on buddy. We all know

Started the grind for armorsmithing in Archeage. only 4k more labor points until i can craft some fancy armor an then only 7k until good armor!
also parnage i mathed it out, and my build is looking at 20k hp and 50% reduced magic damage and 65% reduced physical damage BEFORE i finish the quest for perfect armor. So i'll be an unstoppable wall when it comes to boarding.

Just start with stock 5E, lol. There's no reason to bite off more than you can chew. If you need more options, just use a more developed system.
Also, I will make the same suggestion to you that I made to soniv: houserule the Polymorph spell line.

What's wrong with polymorph?
Oh and as for customization having never created a character before I was fine using 5estock for everything, though for people who play constantly I could see maybe why that may not be good enough

I can't tell if that workout felt awesome or awful

Oh and as for customization having never created a character before I was fine using 5estock for everything, though for people who play constantly I could see maybe why that may not be good enough The Polymorph rules historically have always been ridiculously open-ended and generally results in the entire Polymorph line subsuming the function of many spells of similar level because picking an appropriate form essentially makes the individual spell redundant (e.g. you don't need an armor spell when you can just change into a form that gives you armor, you don't need spells like Fly or Spider Climb when Polymorph spells let you pick a form that innately has those abilities, etc.). Pathfinder identified this as one of the major problems of the core spells in D&D and made an effort to severely limit the options available for each level of Polymorph, but WotC didn't carry this over into 5E.
Personally, I've tended to restrict players to being only able to select forms that are plausible based on their character's knowledge of monsters/animals. It's not just a superficial disguise spell--it's physically changing you into the monster in question because you gain extraordinary abilities, so the character has to have a reasonable level of knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the monster in question, as represented by either an in-character encounter with the monster at some point, or through sufficiently high Knowledge skill.

Haha I didn't even consider this. I know DND cam sometimes be about gaming the system as creatively as you can but plz, that's so silly. Where is the fun in exploiting something to make things trivial?

Where is the fun in exploiting something to make things trivial? It's not really all that powergamey--powergamey involves some ridiculously obscure or overpowered forms that just do really stupid things that a sane DM would disallow.
These are sorts of things that someone can casually realize playing with the spell for a while and say "wait, what's the point of using a 3rd level spell slot for Fly when I can use a 2nd level spell slot for Alter Self and do the same thing?"
The spell's just poorly written because it's so open-ended that it's too easy for someone to randomly stumble upon an "abuse" case simply because even the lower-level versions kind of do whatever you want them to.

Peace Corps is butts.
I'm getting all these vaccinations this week and now my arm is all sore and swollen.
It's awful because it's like, not enough to keep me from going to work, but enough for me to hate going to work.

Anyone went to see Fury? I'll prob go this week or early the next one. Gonna take the subbed version because the trailer and its horrible dub would have made me avoid it had I not heard praises about it before hand (and about things not displayed in said trailer; there's no dearth of cheesy lines though).
You know you played too much WoT when a glance at the poster lets you identify an E8 mantle and the single smokey shot of a hull in the trailer signals a Tiger. :<
