If it works like it did in past games, it depends on where in the hitbox you get hit. If you're on the outer range of it, it's just a normal slashing attack. If you get hit closer to the center of the hitbox, he grabs you. I was smashing kids with DK last night, I'm really liking him in this game.

edit - also, in case anyone isn't aware yet (not sure how common knowledge it is), dash dancing is kinda doable in sm4sh

If you're dashing right, you have to input a dash to the right again and then you can dash back to the left.

It's a bit awkward, but it definitely works and I'm getting more used to it and starting to put it in my play here and there.
