Dark Souls is a very good game, if you actually learn how to play, which will take a lot of practice and time, if you aren't willing to put it in, it isn't for you.
The world is actually one of the best things about Dark Souls. It's a pity all people ever talk about is how hard it is.

Honestly, I don't think so. Just save them up for when you have extra labor to burn. Use labor for logging natural trees or mining if you come across those nodes. Or just save it up for when you have something you want to do later on.
also thank you to whatever mod warned Ketara for being obnoxious with his Kill La Kill spam.

I open all pouches, but I'm a patron, so I'm not really hurting for labor right now. As a non-patron, I think you can afford to open up the 1 or 2 LP cost pouches, but don't think it's worth it after that unless you've got a random surplus of labor.

Cool I was just saving it up since I'm just running around questing but I may make a new char when servers come back.

I call you LoLers based on the Subforum, not my perception of your mindset. Sorry if that came across wrong.
It's just like....I don't understand what the draw is - the graphics are mediocre at best, the combat is clunky and buggy (at least to me) and the story is almost nonexistent. I don't understand the mechanic about players invading your game, or the notes on the ground, I never know where I'm going. I don't expect to be "spoonfed" but I certainly DO expect a game to explain the mechanics THAT WILL be affecting the player from the beginning...and it doesn't.

Some people genuinely enjoy it, other people use it as a dick measuring tool to say "I played a difficult game I must be awesome!".
It's ok to not be the first as long as you aren't the latter.

It's all about experimentation, I was told nothing, aside from what I gleaned from listening to my friend's play it, and that was basically, some stats are worthless, most aren't needed, and that everything caps at ~40. Invasions are somewhat explained through the lore which you won't pick up on during your first play through, hell it will probably take 2-3 for you to even start noticing things.
And if you're playing on PC, you need to use a gamepad, it's shit on mouse and keyboard, don't even bother trying to use one. For where to go, you're told that from the beginning as the Chosen Undead, you just actually have to explore the world and find out where you're going.
Yes I'm being vague, but that's the way I approach this game, if you want a walkthrough, there are sites that will spoil the game and tell you where you need to go.

I never understood how well they made this vegetarian bacon until I burned it by accident. It even crunches like bacon, wtf.

Lol other M. I couldn't even get past the first hour of the game and I fucking love the method series. why was this game considered so bad? never got the chance to play it Ok so there are a few things people don't like about it. First, and possibly worst, is Samus is lame. Team Ninja cranked up the sex appeal with gratuitous amounts of Zero Suit, while making Samus this emotional PTSD headcase who has interminable internal monologues about THE BABY THE BABY THE BABY. In previous games, Samus was a silent professional. I can understand what Team Ninja was going for, in attempting to give Samus more charaterization and explore her emotional trauma as a result of Super Metroid. They just did an awful job. Second, you don't find upgrades. You're authorized to use new upgrades. While this avoids having to come up with a contrived reason for Samus to lose all her previous powers, it means they have to come up with contrived reasons why you're not allowed to just use your Super Missiles yet. Third, it doesn't play anything like previous Metroid games. It's linear - even more so than Fusion. There is literally one path and you are going to take it. Fourth, there's a weird mix of 2D and 3D. It's not entirely bad and allows for some cool sections. However, it means that whenever you want to look around at the environment, you have to stand completely still, turn the wiimote to point at the screen, and wait for that to register. Outside of when you enter free-look, every corridor has exactly one fixed camera angle that never changes. At some points in the game you have to shoot enemies in 3D mode. Since you can't move and it takes a while to enter 3D mode, this is awful. Fifth, the combat sucks. In addition to the problems with 3D-mode combat, 2D combat is boring. You automatically aim at enemies. You automatically dodge attacks if you push left or right just before getting hit. You take quite a bit of damage from any hit, and there are only two ways to recover health: reach a save point, or get below 30 health and "meditate". Meditating is done by holding the wiimote completely vertical for a few seconds, during which Samus will rapidly recover health (up to 100) and missiles. Why can Samus heal like this? Why only when below 30 health? Why does it recover missiles? It introduces silly gameplay strategies, too, such as actively trying to get below 30 health so you can heal back up. Dang, this is getting out of control. There are a few more but I've already Alaricked enough.

I only buy morning star stuff when its BOGO and i buy a months worth. but im a vegetarian so its pretty important to me.
If you want to make your own veggie burgers, i use this Recipe. Those on These. are pretty damn good. add a little course dijon and kimchi with a little bit of tomato and grilled asparagus.
Also i have meat eating friends that swear the morning star BBQ riblets are perfect.
