I don't think many people would consider them better than the first two generations but they were the highest selling GBA game by like 4 million units. | ||

Well, it was the best selling game on the GBA and the only game that sold more than it in 2003 was Madden. So yeah people really loved it. | ||

It added a lot to the combat system with natures, abilities, and EV limits for the competitive types. Jumping from GB/GBC graphics to GBA was a massive leap. Hell, the only thing I hear people complain about consistently was that the surf movement speed was slow in the region most traversed by water. | ||

I miss those days. i remember i got the game, played 15 minutes and never touched it again because i hated it. but i felt that way with every pokemon game i played so maybe its just not for me. | ||
