For example, "Exp. Share," which splits earned experience among your whole party, is no longer an item that must be attached to a Pokémon. Instead, it's a toggle that appears once you're given an Exp. Share item. That occurs roughly three hours into the story, ensuring that for the majority of your adventure all of your Pokémon will receive experience points, regardless of which 'mon is doing the battling.

I was shocked at how easily and early you got EXP Share in the last game.

Of course, EXP Share is never going to be optimal for EV training or happiness training, so you will still have a reason to train as normal.

And that Mega Gengar looks dumb. If people were to try hyping XY for me they shouldn't try to use these mega evolutions digimon stuff.

But of course this is coming from the guy who's last pokemon game was fire red. As mentioned it's the exact same shit as gen 1. It's just that because the PC doesn't let you store items anymore, they way it worked in Gen 1 makes absolutely no sense (you can't put it in your PC to turn it off).

I remember back in my day starting one pokemon then manually switching to my workhorse to level up low levels...

Share becomes the Gen 6 Exp. Share when transferred to a Gen 6 game? It's not a completely new item?

Like I said, I'm not the one with a leaked copy lol. I would assume so, but I don't remember any items changing that drastically between games that you could transfer.

EVs are some kind of points you get while fighting Pokemons (a specific Pokemon gives specific EVs for each stat), that will translate into additional stat points once you level up. You can only get 255 max iirc so you have to choose which stats you'll boost this way. Dugtrio with maxed speed through EVs should always outspeed 0 EVs Dugtrio barring some huge IV discrepancy or something like that. Can't the XY trade center simply cancel the trade if the incoming Pokemon holds an exp. share? I have no idea how trades work anymore with the wifi and all.

Proper EV training will look something like this: ![]() Which means that if you want to have the most optimized team, you need to take care of what you defeat. Certain items will boost values as well. Leveling up by Rare Candy or Day Care will not effect EVs. Apparently I was wrong and EXP Share will, but generally you're not EV training two Mon the same way at the same time (though you could, I suppose).

Soniv pls EV Values Basically a pokemon actually beating another pokemon gives it EV points in a certain area, which means when it levels it gets more points in that certain area than it would otherwise. This amount is also affected by the pokemon's nature and other little gimmicks. It's a lot of work, but you can end up with a pokemon that is 10-20% stronger than one leveled without giving thought to EV values, or customize them to have higher HP/speed/defense/attack/spc.
