Alzadar, now there's a man who hates bowling. I've actually never heard of hating bowling before now. I'd like to know what the reasons are if you know what they are(don't know who Alzadar is). It doesn't seem like a sport where you can really do much wrong. Then again, that can really be said for any sport. Straight to the heart man, that stings. I'm pretty sure you've posted in my ketchup blogs too. Nobody has yet to say anything good about bowling other than the ability to get drunk and Alaric had some tips to avoid the bowling part as best as possible. It's just a shit game, worse than horse shoes. I've found your problem. You have shitty taste in recreational activities! Are you saying horse shoes is fun to play? It's almost as ass as bowling. The only possible defense is that you can get drunk while playing, which again, isn't a point in its favour since you could just get drunk while doing something that's actually fun.
I enjoy horseshoes. I wouldn't go somewhere of my own volition just to play it, but if someone offered I'd play.
Also, I've always gotten owned by hangovers. I'm Irish, but not Irish enough apparently.

I actually only got through the first chapter of that book. Meant to get back to it.
Also bowling got more fun after I lifted for a while. No surprise that not having your arm get tired after your 5th frame improves your enjoyment.

My theory is that Req wanted to bring his DS so he could play his bowling game.

Well I am a scrawny nerd so that could be a factor.

Wii Sports was super legit. I spent so much time playing that when the Wii came out.

I had a friend who was about as nerdy and parents basementy as possible.
When the Wii came out she got it release day.
Day 2 she calls me on the phone.
"Ryan, I spent all day playing Wii Tennis, and today I'm really sore all over, do I need to go to a doctor?"

I think there's a lot of potential for confirmation bias so that even those that aren't like that can think that they are.
When I read it I identified myself as an introvert based on what I read in the book but I'm not even sure of that anymore.

It's important to distinguish introvert/extrovert are just preferences. You can probably think of plenty of experiences and memories where you exhibited behavior for one or the other. We all just have tendencies and that's what's useful to know.

I tried searching stuff about Susain Cain. Always comes back to the book and the theory and promotion of it on talk shows or seminaries. Is it just some kind of buzz she's living off of since it splashed in 2012? Stuff looks suspicious to me when all I can find about it looks like self-promotion/advertising.

Yeah, I've done the personality test thing and I find it really hard, looking back on things I've done, to see how it's useful or relevant in the slightest. Sure it's just a preference but I find it much easier and simpler to say "I don't like hanging out in huge parties where people only talk, I prefer talking in smaller groups of people" than something so vague that it's practically meaningless because it tries to cover all the bases.
I never felt like I discovered anything about myself from a personality test, tests only raised more questions while giving no real answers. It really does feel like confirmation bias. If you really want to discover your preference for something 100% just go out, do it, and find out, nothing less is a suitable substitute.
