the sad thing is that someone pretentious enough to make a statement like this is also the exact same person who would go to any lengths to defend it, even if it meant doing the opposite. i.e. if i was to now ask you to give me music recs in some other equally obscure, poorly named genre, and you didn't know any off-hand, you would go out of your way to research some, in order to not look like you simply didn't know
