Did you catch the launch of Stellar Fest? Last November, a former Canadian Army officer, Bruno "BrewKnow" Perron, rallied the StarCraft II community in Ottawa for Canada’s first major since 2019. He's swapping army boots for gaming headsets, diving into esports as career 2.0, all while giving the war headlines a cheeky wave goodbye.
Stellar Fest vibes perfectly with Ottawa's spirit and eclectic community, making it the ultimate fit for cultivating a fresh esports culture. Ottawa, buzzes with tech-savvy creativity and innovation, setting the stage for a stellar gaming event. The city's unique blend of cultures crafts a melting pot where gamers of all stripes can vibe together, sharing in the thrill of competition and collaboration. Stellar Fest vibes perfectly with Ottawa's indie spirit and eclectic community, making it the ultimate fit for cultivating a fresh esports culture.

Yeah! 100%... Many players DM'd me in the wake of SC4ALL's announcement to see what UrsaTV was cooking. Last year, we were able to co-schedule the inaugural SC4ALL with the inaugural Stellar Fest. A couple pros, and a few car loads of semi-pro players attended both events.
I think players, teams and tournament organizers are struggling with travel costs in the post-EWC/ESL era. Many NA players have been spending more time in Korea, and other parts of Asia. In a StarCraft adjusted world, travel to North America is both expensive and time consuming. We feel it too... transportation and lodging are a significant part of the Stellar Fest budget.
I was informed about SC4ALL's commitment to 5-6 December 2026 mid-June. At that point, we didn't have much of a plan - but it came together over the summer - I'm glad we'll be able to offer players and fans two stops in NA this year, all in December! SC4ALL is on a roll since their announcement with giants of the game invited - excited to see Maru visit Local Host Philly! We can only hope some of them want to play in Stellar Fest qualifiers.

Wonder if Neeb will attend and show them who the NA final boss is

You may have noticed "VIP Dinner" on the ULTRA ticket description? Well...
I'm happy to announce we have booked Beyond the Pale Brewery's Byward Market taproom for the evening of Friday December 18, 2026. If you attended Stellar Fest 1 - you may recognize the brand - it was the brewery serving at Bayview Yards, and quite a few people had drinks and food at their City Centre brewery near last year's tournament.
The Byward market location is closer to Stellar Fest's new finals venue - 50 Sussex. For Stellar Fest 2, players, talent and ULTRA ticket holders will gather at "The Quarry" nestled in an old Limestone building off a courtyard in Byward Market. It is our intention to present the top 12 players and ULTRA ticket holders with their Stellar Fest hockey jerseys during the event. https://btpshop.ca/pages/the-quarry
Included in the ULTRA Ticket price is a miso sweet potato soup to begin, and 1x choice of entree:
Roast Game Hen: kale, pickled shallots, roasted cauliflower, cauliflower purée, mushroom jus Pan seared rainbow trout: potato rosti, roasted asparagus, caper vinaigrette Spicy Cabbage Roll: roasted mushrooms, smoked tomato sauce
Desserts and Beverages can be purchased at extra cost.

Anyone know why the qualifier will be played with Patched mod but then the main event using live version ?
Hi! Thanks for the shoutout ~ the groups are really stacked.... should be a fun day! Here's what we shared in discord:
We have made the difficult decision to make changes to Stellar Fest 2 due to the widespread unpopularity of the current live game, and the lack of transparency from the developer.
The Stellar Fest 2 ONLINE qualifier next week - 30 Sep, 1 Oct, 2 Oct - will be played on the "Patches Mod".
We have NOT made a decision yet with regards to the LAN qualifier or main event in December.
With many weeklies, and a few other upcoming events also aiming to use "Patches Mod", we feel like this decision is the best way to ensure the best playing and viewing experience for Stellar Fest 2 participants.
We haven't made a decision yet on the OFFLINE qualifier, nor the main event. Like most, we have no direct way to contact Blizzard - and remain vigilant on reddit, discord and battle.net to try and reach consensus decisions. Such is our weird little world in 2026.
Congratulations to Blizzard for their new baby - StarCraft: Dominion. I'm sure they'll remember us soon, and mail the child support patch!

Some really good games on the Patches Mod during this week's qualifier. Didn't watch any games on this mod before but they looked fun and interesting.
Also, patches come and go, mods come and go, but Serral winning in the end is eternal.

Also, patches come and go, mods come and go, but Serral winning in the end is eternal. He was winning when zerg was terribly weak; he was winning when zerg was OP; and now he even wins in a patch that is arguably neither. Perhaps, the entire community will eventually learn that patches may come and go, and balance may come and go; but Serral winning is the singular constant. The Universe wills it.
