Hello All and let me quickly introduce myself. I go by Parmigiano these days and have been wanting to host a fairly large tournament with a decent prize pool for years. I have teamed up with my current clan Team Gosu in order to do that very thing and we are excited to announce that registration for the tournament is now open! We have made the necessary contact with tl.net to be put on the calendar and a Liquipedia page is in the works, but not available just yet.

Tournament Details:

This tournament is a bounty style tourament. Players must be Master 1 or higher to register. Each round has an increasing dollar amount that you win based off of how far you go and how many matches you win.

Round 1 consists of two 32 player qualifier rounds:
32 person qualifier 1: Saturday, Sep 18 6:00pm GMT (GMT+00:00)
32 person qualifier 2: Sunday, Sep 19 6:00pm GMT (GMT+00:00)

Each match is bo3. Top 8 from each qualifier will advance to the group stage.

Payouts for Qualifiers are as follows: ATTENTION! - through funding these amounts have DOUBLED. Now starts at $2 and final bounty is worth $32!

Round 2 Group stage: GSL style 4 groups of 4. Top 2 from each group will advance to the playoffs. All matches are bo3. Each match victory will be worth a $20 bounty with an additional $20 bounty for the group stage winner taht goes 2-0. (Each player that 2-0's their group earns $60 total: $20 for each match win and a $20 bonus for going undefeated)

Group A: Saturday, Sep 25 6:00pm GMT (GMT+00:00)
Group B: Saturday, Sep 25 9:00pm GMT (GMT+00:00)
Group C: Sunday, Sep 26 6:00pm GMT (GMT+00:00)
Group D: Sunday, Sep 26 9:00pm GMT (GMT+00:00)

Playoffs: 8 player playoff. All matches will be bo5, except for finals which will be bo7

Round of 8: Saturday, Oct 02 6:00pm GMT (GMT+00:00)
Semis and Finals: Sunday, Oct 03 6:00pm GMT (GMT+00:00)

Hope to have some great players and some great games. We are all really excited to host this tournament and we figured it would be fun to have a tournament that you can win money at every stage. Any further updates will be made to this thread of changes or adjustments leading up to the tournament. The dates are solid and the prize pool will only increase from $1,400! See you then.

Good luck all! Out of curiosity, why are players only allowed to enter one qualifier?

We only allow people to join one qualifier because the same person could potentially qualify for the group stage twice if they played both qualifiers. That would mess up the groups for the next round. Top 8 from both days advance to the group stage. So we need 16 unique people for that to work.

Ah, right. I was just thinking in my head it might be difficult to fill all the spots up over both events. You could just remove the qualified players from the 2nd qualifier but I suppose that brings up other issues.

Both! But all the mods only speak English and one speaks Spanish. In the rules it describes how to choose what server to use before a game starts to keep things fair ping wise.

Hey all! A Good news update! We were able to source some extra funding and the money for the qualifiers has doubled! Payouts now start at $2 and reach up to $32 for the final bounty! Hype!!!!

Couple updates here.

We still have some spots to fill and we will be lowering the requirement to participate to Master 2 in order to do so as quickly as possible. If we overfill, spots will be offered to those with higher MMR/Aligulac rating first.

Hey All! Today is the final day for registration for the Team Gosu Bounty Brawl. If you plan on playing please register by 11:59PM EST tonight. We have 10 spots left as of right now. We will also take reserves after we fill up in case people undoubtedly do not show. If we do not fill, we will continue taking registrations up to the date and time of the start of the first qualifier.

If we do not fill at the start of the tournament there will be bye's for the top rated players based on aligulac rating. They will earn their first bounty just for showing up! Hopefully we fill up and look forward to seeing everyone there!
